Site performance, search filters, and product price differences based on navigation path weren’t deal breakers but the door buster situation irritates me in a way I can’t ignore. That was really disappointing. $450+ is a lot to spend on the second best choice unnecessarily.

Messing with stock on door busters is awful. If you intend to sell a limited quantity, run the sale for that quantity and let people still buy the item at original price afterward instead of leaving it out of stock for the duration. I bought a lesser item that’s already shipped because of that.

Your links to items from different screens take you to what looks like the exact same product but at wildly different prices. The UI is so cluttered it’s hard to discover the reason for this and is annoying to double check on every item after.

Hey @neweggofficial.bsky.social - some site feedback. Your search filters are ineffective because items are not consistently tagged for at least 21 years. Your site slows down the longer you’re on it until you restart your browser which I had to do many times over 2 intense days parting a build.

Taking an item out of stock an hour before the deal buster starts and then marking it back in stock after it ends is kind of awful. I stayed up and then bought a lesser alternative because I naïvely assumed “out of stock” meant fully out of stock, not just out of the 0 you intended to sell.

two men are standing next to each other and one of them is saying " no way " Alt: Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter in Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure having a big reaction toward the camera with the caption “No Way!!”

Whoever wrote the line “I had tickets to see Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale in Waiting for Godot.” in Season 3 of Loot on AppleTV, please know that sent me on a full journey. I had to pause the show to hold space for that line.

And then I found out Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter are doing Godot!

The @dropout.tv Parlor Room two part Blood on the Clocktower episode (S1E10,11) is the most chaotic and engaging version I’ve ever seen played. The ending had me gagged! Chris Grace ran an amazing game and Becca Scott continues to be the most perplexing, plotting, and unhinged player I’ve ever seen.

City gas stations where electric cars are more likely found usually don’t have space to expand so existing space will need to be repurposed. Non-electric owners are already hostile about a few parking lot spaces being converted, how will they react to gas stations full of queueing electric cars?

Am I understanding correctly that a bunch of states are sending national guard to join a mass deployment of other agencies in Washington DC, a fairly compact area whose entire southern and eastern parts are connected by a dozen bridges and metro? And the closest airport is on the other side of them?

These propaganda emails from the Social Security Administration are so embarrassing. He’s not going to pick you. He doesn’t want you and he doesn’t want anyone else to have you either. Get some self respect.

When I opted in to email statements that didn’t include devotional letters for dear leader.

How are we feeling about that decision to platform Grok and feature it in the #build2025 keynote and push several marketing messages about its inclusion in #azure Foundry now @microsoft.com? Anyone still left on your AI safety team want to weigh in on how it’s going?

Purple Heart Army veteran self-deports after nearly 50 years in the U.S. Sae Joon Park left for South Korea on Monday. His removal order was the result of drug possession and bail jumping charges from over 15 years ago — offenses that, he said, stemmed from untreated PTSD.

7 year old sent to the US, grows up, joins military, takes a bullet, gets a medal, honorably discharged, abandoned by the country he served w/ no help for PTSD, tried to cope, served his time, raised a family, has steady employment, at 55 is deported to a country he doesn’t know. Who does this help?

Out of curiosity, if your vehicle is damaged by community protectors because you were attempting to sell people to the government, would insurance cover those costs? I know you have to get different coverage if you’re a delivery driver but what about bounty hunter?

I forget names as they’re being said to me and faces as soon as I look away.

I never want to make someone feel forgotten, uninteresting, or unimportant because my brain works differently. Glasses to alert me that I know someone, and in what context, would be amazing but only if it wasn’t obvious.

I get the sense many leaders and governments around the world have become too detached, too isolated from the lives of the people they’re supposed to represent.

Greed, ego, and privilege have put the wrong people in charge and the rest of the world pays for the damages in blood.

I’m curious what it’s going to take before other countries finally put us as a Level 3 or 4 travel advisory and offer assistance for expedited return of their citizens. Especially countries critical of our government.

It feels like the bystander effect; everyone is waiting for someone else to act.

I love the updates to the area and the new way up and down. No more playing frogger with traffic and trying to explain to people which parking garage elevator to take to get back up!

The new pavilion is really nice. I’m still a sucker for the wave tank and the seals in the other building though.

Your work is incredible and has been tremendously valuable to so many people. You, separate from your work, have always struck me as generous with your time, sincere in your interactions, and extraordinarily thoughtful. If you find something new you want to try, I know people will show up for you.

I need to believe this move by Microsoft was not voluntary. I can’t reconcile their direction over the last decade with this move. Between corporate risk aversion and public perception it makes no sense to platform Musk and host Grok. There has to be more going on. #build2025 #azure

Microsoft’s dedication to 100% renewable energy, closed loop cooling, pursuing more energy efficient processing, and focus on safe and responsible AI seems antithetical to platforming Grok and giving Musk keynote representation. This has to be under duress/extortion threat, right? #build2025 #azure

a man in a black shirt is standing in front of a door and looking at the camera . Alt: The main character David from the TV show Schitt’s Creek showing facial expressions of confusion and uncomfortable body language with dialog text asking “Why? Why would you do that?”

A lot of mixed feelings on #msbuild2025. Incredible new tools for enterprise development and I can’t recall ever being so excited about a single SQL Server release as I am for 2025 all overshadowed by the layoffs, bringing in Grok, and giving “special access” to AI tools supporting genocide.

You managed to 1) shrink the issue to a specific instance, 2) dismiss it by excusing others for a “mistake”, and 3) justify the actions harming a real person because IF a series of hypotheticals were true then maybe someone might have lost their job, all while pretending to be a voice of “reason”. 👎

Queens Night Market, Queens Zoo and Flushing Meadows Park south of the stadium is also nice. Lots of space, very walkable from subway, lots to see. Food options are sparse though but if you’re there when the night market is open that’s a lot of fun.

I remember going out after a conference over there and eating at an amazing place that was either Chama Mama or it isn’t there anymore then walking past the brownstones to the promenade to take in the city view. It was awesome.

I’m partial to DUMBO and Brooklyn Heights Promenade at sunset going into night. The transformation of the city skyline from browns and oranges to glimmering lights is pleasing. Also tons of great food between those and subway with outdoor seating. Evening breeze on a warm night. 🥰

Too beaten path?

Chapter 5 of “A People’s History of the United States: 1492 - Present” by Howard Zinn seems very relevant to what’s happening right now.
