My new MtG love has been such a blessing and a curse. It's an incredibly fun game that's gotten me thinking about game design and systems in a way I haven't before while also giving me a good social outlet but it's also one of the biggest time/money sinks I've gotten myself into.. cards is evil

any time I'm inebriated I start cackling to myself thinking about how cool some of the projects I'm kicking along are. I gotta internalize that feeling a bit more

i've been playing some Etrian Odyssey games again recently and I'm realizing I love nothing in games more than tightly designed skill trees and drawing my own maps
the 'coziest' genre of game in the world to me is a first-person dungeon crawler and it isn't even close

More sfx and some reworked tiles for this area! I like this look (particularly the walls) better than the original. Has more of a personality imo. Still want to rework the dungeon puzzle, but maybe that'll come after some playtesting...

i think it was a very fitting end for Part 2 as a whole, but it's definitely one that is meant to be divisive
Chainsaw Man Part 2 feels like it was kind of spinning it's wheels by the end but I genuinely feel that was kind of the point and that it helped what we got today land for me a lot better
i did a re-read alongside catching up but some discussion i've had with friends honestly makes me wanna do another. trying to read elements like the chainsawman devils, the prophecy, and the way everything wrapped up through a sorta meta lens makes it feel cynical but i think there's something there
