I've not tried audio books, but I quite like a podcast now and then. It's the blasted adverts that interrupt everything, every few minutes that gets my wick. 😉

Sky Q renewal offer was still too expensive (not much of a saving on full cost). Ditched Sky after being a customer for over 16 years.

Forrest Gump, The Bodyguard and Titanic are three films I've never watched. I have also never watched Breaking Bad, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire, Sex in the City and others. May need to hand back my Gen X citizenship 😉

Yes, those thinking survival of the fittest equates to "strongest" clearly have not read "On The Origin of Species".

I think things are getting for voters as all political parties do is slag off their opponents (and in turn the electorate). Starmer's Labour win was only because nobody could tolerate any more Tory governments. There is no hope being offered as an alternative. Without hope, humans are lost.

I met him at his book signing event in Stirling a good few years back. Had a long chat with him and ended up buying all three of his paperbacks published at the time. Thoughts with his family and friends.

Here, mainly for Scottish politics, education, science, humanity, and animals. Other topics do interest me, but I don't always engage by more than likes.

Singing and Parkinson's The Alva Academy’s Parkinson’s singing group helps people with the condition better manage their symptoms. We speak to 2 members, Tommy and Maureen, about how the group has benefited them both.

I was wondering if you are aware that singing can help - my daughter's school has an award-winning Parkinson's Choir and have been featured on the Parkinson's website
