It seems so odd to me that agents would think they "can't sell something like this" when it has similar vibes to one of the most popular shows of all time, even if it's also very different.

I really enjoyed the first half of STRANGER THINGS s5, but it also reminded me a lot of my unpublished Gothic Biopunk cosmic horror fantasy, with some extremely similar images. I still feel so sad that I couldn't find an agent for that book, because it's still my favorite thing I've ever written.
