Btw, the Alexanderplatz subway station is also shown in Bourne Identity. You can see the green steel columns and the green tiling on the walls there as well.

The tracks at Alexanderplatz don't have lights underneath the platform.

GSG9 is indeed the special forces of the German federal police. But they would need much more time to get to the scene than what is depicted. They have a team in Berlin, but still, this is not something you can do in 20 Minutes as depicted.

If they would shut down the entire subway system in Berlin, it would cause a MASSIVE traffic disruption. This would really mean shit hits the fan. But after all, the idea of a rogue sub driving at will through the sub network is also fabricated. It doesn't work that way.

The uniforms of the federal police looks funny. I don't think they're authentic. I am unsure, but I think I've seen a Berlin coat of arms on the uniforms, which would not be the case for federal police.

The Bundespolizei (Federal Police) has no jurisdiction over the local subway system. They are only doing policing the nation wide train stations and network. The local public transport would be policed by the Berlin police. It's like FBI vs local Sheriff.

That guy addressing the driver with "Herr".. this is not how it would happen. Again, Germans are angry and impatient. Ant this is Berlin. So that guy would probably aggressively yell "Oi, Dude!" (or "Hey, du da!").

I'd guess that passengers would get angry *much* faster and more severely when the sub would stop for more than 10 minutes. Germans are impatient. Someone would probably call the BVG and yell at them. 😅

Many of the German actors are well known in Germany and have appeared in large productions as well. You might recognize some from Downfall for example.

Following up with Hijack Ep2. No, you can't drive through the Brandenburg Gate. This was possible once, but not anymore since decades.

Oh, and if you think you have seen the actress in the subway HQ somewhere already, she had a major role in Dark.

Btw, when I correctly recall, the Berlin subway has an emergency system that can force stop a train if it passes over a red light, but not completely sure.

Also, the loo episode is correctly at Unter den Linden station. So it's all accurate, good job by the production.

The British embassy outside is authentic. The station order the U5 is travelling is accurate. The tourist group boards at Bundestag and the guy says it's 3 stations to their destination at the museum. And the Museumsinsel is in fact 3 station on U5 from Bundestag.

Workers at the subway do not wear that "U" logo on their west, but the "BVG" logo. Nice is also that the digital signage shows the correct text when Otto has his episode on the loo "train interrupted".

I also don't ever believe that the Berlin subway authority has such a modern control center. Other things are really accurate, you can clearly see that most of it was filmed at the real location.

Watching Hijack Season 2. The Berlin scenes are surprisingly accurate with a few things here and there. For example, I don't think you can go from one subway wagon to the next through a door. Also, German police would never ever draw their weapons so quickly. This is not the US.
