We had that exact coffee table when I was growing up.

They bought the right politicians to get laws passed in their favor.

They won’t refund consumers. They’ll refund businesses. And businesses will simply take the money as extra profit - not use it to lower prices. So once again, the rich get richer and the “common folk” get screwed.

So, this morning we’ve had rain, sleet, snow, rain, and freezing rain. All in that order.

I abhor going to the theater/cinema any more. Too many in a small space. Too many jerks who can’t be quiet and/or can’t turn off their phones. I’d much rather watch at home in my pajamas with reasonable priced drinks and snacks.

We have mid term elections coming up. And presidential elections 2 years after that. That COULD change our trajectory. What we should be doing is making sure people we actively WANT to vote FOR (not simply the lesser of two evils) actually run for office and then vote for them.

Ok, I have to say this. Been catching up on the shooting in Australia. If you’re not aware, two gunmen opened fire on a Jewish Hanukkah celebration at Bondi Beach. A Muslim bystander rushed in and disarmed one of the shooters saving an unknown number of Jewish lives.

The world needs more of this.
