The image is of Anduin and Wrathion (with Xal'atath in the background) from World of Warcraft. It's a commission done by @viciousmongrel for @ClaretAsh. The image shows Anduin holding Wrathion, the latter who is covered in blood. Wrathion seems unresponsive, and Succession (his sword) falls from his hand, the fire that leaps from it's blade growing dim. His hair covers his eyes, and there's an implication that he may have taken a blow meant for Anduin. Anduin kneels behind him, cradling his back, with an angry expression. In his right hand, he holds aloft Shalamayne, channeling shadows to it - where the Light once shone in the blade. Through the converging darkness, Xal'atath's eyes gleam from the dark. The background also is shadowy, with no visible objects. The markings on the ground looks suspiciously like the Dark Heart, and there is blood splattered around from Wrathion, and his sword.
