You'll read a lot that it's Disco Elysium by way of DnD and I suppose it is to a fair extent. It's very character and dialogue focused, and the combat is... not remotely RPG combat-y😅

I think referring to it that way undersells it's utterly unique feeling and often sublime writing though🙂

Very good game btw. *Very* different to most RPGs. I recommend it, like, a LOT🥰

The eternal struggle: I favour characters with high Dex, Cha and Int. But you need points in Str to carry all the shit you talk people out of or, indeed, just plain nick from under their hairy noses😅

I always found the hard part of cooking with wine is, once you've added a glass to the pot, as cook you've then got to singlehandedly drink the rest before dinner is served.

I made a lager sorbet once. Really easy as it's self foaming. Almost killed me when I slurped up the surplus liquid taking it out of the freezer - forgot about different freezing points for a mo and it was probably about 45% alcohol.

Also lager sorbet - not a taste explosion as it turns out😅

Also I want french onion soup now. But I need a lot of vermouth for my recipe. I don't think cooking lager will work here.

There's a traditional swiss Catarrh remedy for that's basically that😅

Don't go into it expecting a traditional combat-focused RPG, because it really is something quite different to the norm, but there's an awful lot of character & story stuff to draw you in. If that's your thing.

I don't want to say it's like playing with a DM & friends - because it's not - but it's got that same loose feeling, happy to indulge rambling tangents and distractions. Like, a lot😅
It can feel a bit unfocused at the start for it, but once you pick up another party member the character shine

When I head off to my Mum's house in a couple of days, I'll be spending a few weeks doing renovation & repairs. Including rebuilding half the landing floor, replacing the shower & cubicle, new carpets in 3 rooms, & replastering a few walls.

So it's probably just as well I can't take the cats there😂

Basically I wanted to make a 2D game that worked like a 3D game but was too lazy to write a new physics engine. Then it occurred to me I could run the game in 3D offscreen & mirror it with sprites+ maths☺️
