Two things can be true:
Congress should pass uniform, national legislation reining in partisan gerrymandering; and
Until that happens, or every state adopts an independent redistricting commission, neither party is going to (or, frankly, should) unilaterally disarm.
Skinner related, our youngest picked an Oilers/Penguins final because “Skinner is a great goalie.” I really doubt that happens but now that she’s put it out there, the idea of the Oilers losing a third straight final, this time to a team WITH Stuart Skinner in net, has been keeping me up at night.
I blame the haters who just weren’t supportive enough.
Still boggles my mind how unserious Canada is about disinformation, considering the deleterious effect it is having on almost every aspect of our society. I’ve had serious conversations with serious people about it, and their eyes glaze over.
I would have been fine with a little less drama, but generally pretty happy the team listened to me.

A few playoff-related complaints to get out of the way before puck drop on Game 1:
An 8PM local start on a weeknight is ridiculous.
Even worse, the puck doesn’t actually drop until 20 minutes later.
And, as always, NHL officiating is horribly inconsistent.
