This evening I'm taking Elliott to see two people in papier-mâché masks play quarter tones on a double-necked guitar while communicating in a made-up alien language.
Standard Friday night in Montreal.
I wrote a thing for MTL Wedding Blog.
What did I miss?
Haven't posted much in the past year or so, but I just hit 5000 subscribers on YouTube.
Which is nice.
I promise to post again soon.
Escaped to Niagara Falls for 3 days 🙂
My first time.
I've photographed over 500 weddings, and I keep giving couples the same advice. Most of it has nothing to do with photography.

Fun chats with Ed Gamble :)
Back in 2022, I decided to check out an upcoming New York band that sounded pretty cool, playing a 300-cap bar in Montreal.
3 years later, they were the band everyone was talking about.
I have a feeling Geese will be playing a slightly bigger room next time they visit.

5 weddings. 5 completely different days. Not one of them went the way I expected, which is exactly why I keep showing up with a camera.
One of my biggest regrets is being in the venue the night Jeff Buckley played the club where I worked. I went home early because I didn't know who he was yet. This documentary twisted the knife further when I realized we were both at the same Soundgarden show in London.

Sunday (1994) might just be your next favourite band. Caught them while I was in the UK back in November.

Rochelle and Christian flew up from Charlottesville to Montreal for new portraits for Five Senses Journeys, and the weather immediately chose chaos.
Very cool humans, very fun shoot.
Finally got one of my favourite albums of all time on vinyl 😀
The Afghan Whigs - Gentlemen
Twenty years ago this month. The best club I ever DJ'd at: Stadium in Jakarta.
I played a 7-hour set and had my new girlfriend sat behind me the whole night 🙂
Don't think I've been to a gig before where the band has their own beer!
What should I listen to first? 🤔

Don't sleep on The Belair Lip Bombs.

For those who care about high-quality audio, this is a really interesting video.
Happily, I'm already using the best two for streaming :)

Agriculture is great. Thrice next on my list, followed by Author & Punisher, Leon Vynehall, Snooper and I'll give Taylor a listen out of interest.
There's the Orbit Culture album too.

POP Montreal is one of my favourite festivals.
LOTS of my photos and some of my words right here... Enjoy!
Thanks Andrea. Hope you're doing well.
Tara + Fady's wedding in Montreal was a blast. Such an easy-going, fun couple surrounded by all their favourite people who were all just as lovely.
Been a while since I was at Hotel Nelligan. Definitely one of my fave venues in Montreal.
