Our AQCAG from our most recent puzzle is Hollie S. She shared this nugget with us.

Sailors have been wearing striped clothing since medieval times - not just for fashion purposes (tho stripes do look pretty cool). Stripes increase visibility against the waves if someone falls into the water.
