Yes, it's absolutely this, isn't it? The cost of missing is the hour or so that they traded from the being early option, not, as per UK family going to a resort from Luton, a flight the next day at great expense

Autocorrect really doesn't recognise the DCMS SoS (just like most of the country)

Doesn't negate your overall point and particularly like the alcohol comparison regarding the profitable tail of customers

However... Not impossible (not sure of stats) that the median (and maybe modal) gambler is actually the "having a flutter/bought an occasional lottery ticket", and that trope isn't wrong, especially true among the commentariat class who aren't addicts

"oh no, the child torture factory closed, what will we do for jobs now" is equivalent logic to Mandy's there.

I don't disagree, plus as I have to remind my students a lot, jobs (etc) are a cost. "brings benefits to the economy" = people employed (and taxes from) in an industry which may be a net bad. We could be doing something better with our time and labour!

....you mean he snaps his ankle in the attempt?

In that case, would there be a legal avenue for injured player, both against the offender and the league/officials?
Or have players essentially signed away their rights due to the assumed rough and tumble of the game?
If Brobbey ended Romero's career in a car prang there would be some compensation!

Trouble is if you're too broad in your interest you might notice things like "hmmm, guy who pretty much single-handedly smoked my team last week out for a duck, as his team struggles", and that's annoying, so I'm mostly sticking to a single scorecard

Marie, genuinely intrigued you said "cooking" rather than "eating" meat here.
Does that imply you might eat some at restaurants - the difference being you are more reassured of their ethical sourcing than what you can get in supermarket? Or something else?

So here we have seating arrangements for 10 people, ie it's not just people distancing, but one of these going to the press... Presume it's Vance and/or Rubio, who come out of this article merely spineless (and still hugely complicit), compared with the other enablers

This is also arbitrary within the area: I'm in such an area and I *think* I'm allowed panels as the location we'd have them is away from the road.
But if you're over the other side, and the best roof for solar is towards the road, then no deal

If your lack of plan is that you end up attempting to take a cruise ship past Battersea Park, I think you should have had a plan

Ah, he must be arguing for a combined European army which would have the economies of scale to have such platforms etc. Mustn't he...?
What sort of % of GDP would we need to spend alone to have the capability he laments we don't have

Also, the "moral backbone" being asked for here appears to be "morally support your troops no matter what", as opposed to "pursue justice even in the face of entrenched opposition from a powerful interest group"... And, er, one of those sounds more "moral" than the other

Mine does a lot of "oh no, what happening here?"

Been having similar thoughts about driving in Netherlands in May... Sure fuel will be available, for a price, but how much of the week will now be in a queue for petrol??

Are you getting on any more international-focused/UK podcasts about this? Would love to point my students to it

Pretty similar on Reddit, though. A lot of overlap perhaps

A supremely rare occurrence!

I thought she shared it

Is the distinction here "for solo work" vs "single prize recipient"?

Also even with constant inequality in either (but probably more pertinent in wealth), growth in absolute terms increases the gap

Just been approached by Huel to see if I'll be part of their paid influencer campaign. I don't think they're quite across what I do for a living. (FWIW, and in the interests of having influence, I regard Huel as a soul destroying, miserable product and the death of all that is worth living for.)

Come on, we know you're really saying you were moved on after the Farage expenses...

Congratulations

I enjoy too & will check out these oboe bits, but...

Come on, neither of these are normie, are they? Among a certain type of person, often found on this site, sure.
But what proportion of people even have a favourite painting at all? How many have heard of R Strauss?
Cultural elite opinions, both!

Absolutely.
Conflict of regulations and objectives true in other domains as well:
Given events I'm looking at solar installation... which where I live needs planning permission

Presume this might be regulatory rather than simply design?

Going to assume this has been arranged for ages, but you just had to publish on Fiscal Rules first...

And yes, I'll be on the look out for articles to give to my students as per your hope
