"life is ruthless for.. a dinosaur...
but not as ruthless ... as..
ME!!!"
lol
LOL genius!!
I tried to drag my gf too but she couldn't get past the pacing
right??
it bugs me too, the show obv wants the audience to emotionally connect to the dinosaurs and then looks at them dead in the eye and drops "...mOnSTer"
also I wish people understood that if I had time to work on a project for free I'd do MY stuff?! like I have a million projects myself dude
finally watched the first episode of The Dinosaurs and while it has so many qualities, I must admit the over-emphasizing and repetition are very annoying
like "yes Mr Freeman the Dinosaurs are on the rise I get it, I'm not looking at my phone I swear"
I don't want to shoot videos
I don't want to post tutorials
I don't want to show my process
I don't want to pour varnish
I don't want to turn my canvas
I don't want to record my screen
I don't want to cultivate parasocial relationships
I just want to make pictures and shitpost
Artists, show what built your style!
Artists, show what built your style!
I don't know if they built my artistic style, but they inspired my universe and my passion for drawing: John Howe, Xavier Collette, Julien Delval and Ugo Pinson. ✨️
There are also so many other painters, such as Delacroix, Courbet and David.
Labyrinth makes so much sense as an influence!!
Artists, show what built your style!
This is really funny to me, because I don't concern myself with style. I just like looking at inspiring art!
I love that lithograph so much!!
Mr Bauer did some amazing litographs re-using some of his compositions on a different media
Artists, show what built your style!
(there are SO many influences, but I guess these are the most evident)
Eyvind Earle!!!!
I always put Sleeping Beauty whenever I want to feel a very specific mix of inspiration and awe
thank you!
I've used @sygnin.com 's template with some tweaks;
I highly recommend it!
the template by itself is a great starting point and it comes with a neat video instruction.
hope it helps!

A painterly illustration of a blonde-haired man embracing a dark brown-haired woman who looks like she's in a vampire frenzy. He looks at her wearing a worried expression, but she doesn't reciprocate, staring at the viewer, eyes glowing red. Book cover of "Learning to Bleed" by Cat Rector.
Left: A painterly portrait done in a muted, dreamy palette. The androgynous figure has long, blonde, curly hair that's pulled into a ponytail and is wearing a black coat with multicoloured fabric on the inside of the lapels. Right: A painterly digital portrait of a couple set against a gold ochre background and surrounded by red and blue flowers. The woman's hair is dark blue and she is wearing an elegant black and navy dress with flowing sleeves. The man is blonde and he's wearing a grey-ish suit and white shirt underneath. They sit in a tender embrace, the man resting his head in the crook of the woman's neck.
Left: An acrylic gouache portrait. The person in the painting is a blue-skinned tiefling with curly hair and ram horns. He's wearing a long brown coat with a white shirt and high-waisted trousers underneath. Behind him is a bright window decorated with filigree ornaments. Right: A watercolour portrait of a red-haired man with hazel eyes holding a black snake-like creature and looking somewhat ominous. The man's skin is pale and covered in freckles; he's wearing a green-brown jacket.

Low saturation drawing of a barn owl. The owl is looking to the right, and has a petals from a decaying sunflower around the back of it's head. The background of the image is dark.
Graphite pencil study of the character 'Sister Ruth' from the 1947 film Black Narcissus. A woman in a nun's outfit looks beyond the viewer with a haunted look in her eyes, she has a very slight smile on her face.
A watercolour painting I did of a path winding off into the distance. The light is that of a hazy winter afternoon. Either sides of the path on the horizon are what looks like hills that form a valley, the sky colour on the right is a warm yellow sky as the sun dips behind the hill. The light is hazy, and suggests the time of day is in the afternoon, the sky colour on the left still has hints of blue. This is watercolour, then touched up with acrylic.
Graphite pencil drawing on moleskine paper of a Little Owl. The owl is perched on a surface and is full of attitude, looking intently to the viewers left. Background plain grey.
