Congressman Scott was a champion for the anti-hunger movement throughout his career and a longtime friend of our organization.
He was a true man of faith whose beliefs grounded his fight to protect SNAP.
Our deepest condolences go out to his family and loved ones.

We are calling out the Trump administration's latest budget proposal for what it is: a direct attack on hungry families.
Millions of families depend on SNAP, WIC, and child nutrition programs to survive. The White House's latest budget continues gutting all of them.
This Tax Day, billionaires are celebrating their GOP tax handouts while everyday Americans are struggling to afford groceries and being stripped of critical food assistance. The Trump administration isn't cutting waste. It's cutting food benefits.

3.4M people cut from food assistance in a single year.
Not because they no longer need help. Not because the economy improved. But because Congress chose tax cuts for the rich over hungry families.
This is a hunger crisis created by policy.
State-by-state analysis from @centeronbudget.bsky.social
We cannot be silent in the face of this blatant and offensive violation of our Constitution's imperative that there be a separation between church and state.
Sec Rollins leads a government agency, not a religious institution. America is not a theocracy, it's a constitutional democracy.
Shabbat Shalom! 🕯️
As Passover comes to a close, we're sitting with its most important reminder: freedom isn't just a story we tell. It's work we do for everyone.
Tonight, may your table be full, your heart be full, and your rest be real.
Wishing you and your loved ones a beautiful Shabbat.
If your Passover seder cost more this year, you are not alone, and it goes far beyond the holiday.
Nearly half of all Americans are struggling to afford food and we do not even know the full picture since the USDA canceled a survey that measured hunger for 30 years.
We are not looking away.
As Passover begins, we pause to reflect on freedom and the power of community.
This holiday reminds us that every step toward justice and compassion matters.
From all of us at MAZON, thank you for being part of this journey. We are grateful to you for standing with us.
Chag Pesach Sameach!
On this Transgender Day of Visibility, we're celebrating trans kids and adults everywhere as a sacred part of the Jewish community, and all communities.
God loves trans people. And we'll keep fighting for their rights. 🏳️⚧️
As Passover approaches, we’re reminded of a teaching from our tradition:
“You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to abandon it.”
This year, we invite you to turn the story of freedom into action at your Seder table.
Fuel our mission to end hunger:
This Passover, MAZON invites us to add a fifth question to our seder: Am I among those working to ensure that all who are hungry can come and eat?
Download the free "Fifth Question" Haggadah insert and bring the conversation about hunger to your table.

In failing to address hunger, this legislation has also lost what made the Farm Bill coalition so impactful.
Frankly, it should no longer even be called a ‘Farm Bill’ in that it includes only a meaningless shell of its longstanding nutrition title.
See our full statement:
Over 30 interfaith partners joined MAZON calling on members of Congress ensure cuts to food assistance are fixed with the Farm Bill.
"It is not only a matter of economic and social stability, but a matter of human dignity to feed oneself and one’s family.”

Take a listen:
During last night’s State of the Union, President Trump claimed he “lifted” 2.4 million people off SNAP.
The truth is that his policies are cutting people from food assistance — not because their situation has improved.
