cast off the pioneer gloves i was making (pattern free on ravelry) :D the increases and picking up stitches on the thumb + working with such a small circumference for it were a decent challenge for me. feel accomplished.

LRT i did the warrior queens one and loved it so i think i have to do the tea one for the kitchen… but also what if i did it with the poison one framed in the back too so it could be flipped and displayed both ways

met my daily stitch count so treated myself to some backstitching. loooove my knight. 🥺

your work is so gorgeous and i love the fabric choice! honestly even though they’re huge it feels like it goes fast because i’m not having to change colours… meanwhile i have a bookmark kit thats taking forever because the pre-cut floss makes me feel like i thread my needle every 10 stitches, haha.

i really like how it’s integrated to make almost every element have overlap/tie in together so it looks really cohesive! the main thing that turns me off of a lot of samplers is that the motifs feel very separate (which i get is a design choice in itself), but they’re so thoughtfully designed.

i was gonna leave stitching the year of completion until last thing, but at 50% complete i’m going to self impose a deadline. pattern is the templar prophecy by long dog samplers. it’s my biggest cross stitch project and i guess this a thread for it.

cast on my second mitt, wasn’t happy with it, decided to frog and cast on again on short circulars, the short circulars were too long for the circumference, frogged again and cast on again on DPNs… i think i’m gonna ground that project and cross stitch for a couple of days instead. :’)

honestly i don’t vibe with m/f romances in mainstream media all too often but if i do they are either ”will move heaven and earth for each other” or “the guy is an idiot”. the following examples are equally valid.

i think a fun thing about playing an old game is seeing which parts of it stick in people’s memories and become a thing people always reference and what doesn’t. like i’m playing earthbound and i have never seen anyone reference moonside? a segment that feels like the most memorable moment so far?

i’m so used to seeing fancy hand dyed yarn being sold by US based sellers but this one is in the uk and aaaaahhh look how cute… am i seriously considering spending £25 to match my cat…

making a japanese-style (the “style” is doing some heavy lifting here) curry for dinner and using some of the chefs knives my mother-in-law bought me for christmas and fuck, chopping veg is like butter. so now i’m thinking that after my next pay packet i NEED to invest in a knife sharpener.

i saw this and instantly recognised that path 😅 i did the autumn version last year! i don’t envy you doing all the white and light shades but i’m sure it’ll be beautiful.

i also cast on some fingerless mittens to try something different and get used to working in fingering weight yarn but now i’m going to go to bed and play earthbound

i finished knitting some socks :3c there are some imperfections here and there but on the whole they’re comfy and i’m super happy with them 🧶

also in that eight and a half hours i completed about 75% of the training. uninterrupted and in a distraction free environment. but this is the same work they tell you to “just do when you’ve got five minutes on shift” LOOOL

did eight and a half hours of online training so now i’m ready to clock off, eat copious amounts of pasta and garlic bread, and finish season 1 of pachinko

whoever invented e-learning that’s like “you must watch a series of 10 minute long videos with no option to access the information in written form” is my mortal enemy
