alright you wanna know how to support trans people?

hire them. It's REALLY hard already for visibly trans people to get jobs, even before this shit.

Support places that have trans people working front of house, and make sure owners know that's part of why you're there.

This time 3 years ago - I was still in labour and would be until sometime in the afternoon. What an awesome and fun time that was. 🥴

I did, however, get a really cool tiny human out of the experience. 💚

Unfortunately that's not remotely possible for me right now. And in this market, likely won't be for some time.

It's not hard to just communicate. And have respect for the people around you. Honestly. And I don't expect much out of this. We've called the builder and we're hoping they'll put up something temporary at least ASAP 🤞

We're assuming it hasn't been down for long, but we're relieved we caught it now so the dogs don't get lost or hurt.

This, in addition to all the fuckery that went down when the property was sold (letting people in to value without informing us - cool stuff) - is a bit shit.

We also have no idea how long it's been this way. We don't use the yard a huge amount because of the giant, trees that like to drop branches everywhere (we've spent over a year asking them to look at those) - but our dogs do run around out there on occasion.

My favourite part of renting is coming home to find one of my dogs in the street - because the people building a house next door have removed most of the back fence without telling us.

We have no idea if they approached our real estate with this information.

Realised it's done that thing where it yeets my search settings - and it's using my current location, not my home base.

Ok so I'm actually a bit excited for this - and I've struggled to sit down with a game much at all recently (mostly due to existing in a semi-permanent haze of exhaustion) - but I'm practically ravenous for some new sci-fi.

I'm enjoying some parts of ##DuneProphecy- but others are a bit of a struggle. Definitely some plot lines that feel like they're just a means to carry things forward a little bit, then they kind of just dwindle off, which is disappointing.

I so intensely want to be understanding & have everyone else be OK that I end up kind of fucking myself over in the feelings department in like...a huge way.

And I don't want to go over this with this person again, like, it's exhausting.

So I gotta just sit with these feels for a bit.

I also spent a lot of time making that person feel better about the whole situation and I've now realised I...kind of went full 'fawn' but now, a few days on it's like...no, this sucks. And I'm a bit hurt.

Like, I was seeing someone casually and it was going pretty well...or so I thought. And then it wasn't. And there's a whole bunch of really valid reasons why it's come to a conclusion but it wasn't something I particularly wanted.
