Sympathy for facts? Seems superfluous.

Uh oh the Cantonese are gonna come for you

I think that's just wrong. Vic was excellent playing out last season. We didn't ask for too many crafty long passes and it worked fine. He's actually pretty good o the ball, just not with longer-range passing.

It *is* a kettle.

It's just one of those things. US dipshits will be like 'you drive on the WRONG side!!' and British dipshits will be like 'you CAN'T make proper tea!!' and it's all stupid.

I also use mine for instant ramen.

Yeah it's a thing people say--we do have 120v rather than 220v outlets--but an electric kettle in the US is still faster than the alternatives and we still have them. Many people enjoy pour-over coffee, for example, and use kettles for that. The coffee pod thing also relies on a kettle system.

Haven't seen this but how disappointing to hear. She's been fantastic.

Forget about it. Move on. Win. Spurs just need to win There is only one narrow path to playing in the Premier League next season, and it starts with winning at Molineux

Is it too painful to take the positives?

Most of us also don't walk around in cowboy boots or speak with a 'twang,' if that helps. This is not the United States of Hollywood or the Untied States of Disney, it turns out.

Yes, mid-table players play well in mid-table clubs.

Electric kettles are fairly common in the US, just not used very often for making tea because US Americans just don't drink that much tea.

(I'll be the first to point out that what's happening in the US right now is a world-historical disgrace, but still, have some perspective!)

A small observation: People are badly overreacting about Spurs goalkeepers. Vicario has never been elite on the ball, but he's been bad this season especially because he's been playing with a hernia (!). Kinsky *is* elite on the ball and that doesn't change just because he slipped on a bad pitch.

Yep, they haven't worked out that there's no statute of limitations on genociding the Irish, Kenyans, and Indians so 'har har dumb evil Americans with no kettles' is not viable banter.

I think most people actually do, it's just that it's attached to a coffee maker because it's used for brewing coffee. A Keurig, for example, is a kettle.

We have kettles in the US, we just tend to drink coffee.

WTF is ‘tea’?

People have been trashing the players all season to cope with the fact that they bought into the idea of magical pragmatism and it didn’t pan out.

Haaland is the funniest footballer. I watched one of his YouTube videos where he’s cooking steak with his wife and they sit down and just start eating everything with their hands.

To say nothing of the expense of artistry.

There are always bad calls and inconsistencies and that’s fine, but I think the league has systematically overcorrected in the direction of physicality, betting on the appeal of this type of game as a product. But it comes at the expense of credibility.

I agree descriptively but also it’s a sign of a broken system that we’ve mainstreamed this idea that it’s the responsibility of the victim to do ‘dark arts’ to get the call rather than the refs and the league for curbing out-of-control inconsistency, shoving, grappling, etc.
