Image of a frame from the show The Simpsons, showing a newspaper article reporting that Abe Simpson is yelling at a cloud. Picture of him with fist upraised, headine "Old Man Yells at Cloud".
Reading the end of No Country for Old Men is like experiencing the 'old man yells at cloud' gif over and over again.

undertone was so terrifying that it ruined date night to a cosmic degree and my husband is now threatening to divorce me. Good job, no notes.

Jeremy Irons as Simon Gruber in the film Die Hard with a Vengeance. Dyed short blond hair with a vest that shows off his shoulders. Much hotter than OP.
Realise today that when I masc up my hair and wear a vest I really start to resemble a less buff version of Simon Gruber from Die Hard with a Vengeance. The jury is still out on whether this is fortunate or unfortunate.

I went to the secondhand bookshop, bought two books for me, realised that's not fair, bought two books for husband (including a gorgeous Art of Star Trek book with pictures of all the bottles in Quark's 🤩), THEN picked up my library hold, then went to Tesco. Now my back hurts. Why, who can say.

Crumble, a white and tan Cavalier King Charles spaniel, curled up on a large furry beige dog bed which is so plush it appears to be swallowing her.
Crumble's new bed makes it look like she is being eaten by a cloud 😶🌫️

I don't get my writing ideas from an LLM, I get them from dreams where an enticing figure (who looks human until you catch them from the corner of your eye) whispers to me from the edge of a starless night, leaving me waking refreshed, satisfied, and yet flushed with a subtle sensation of wrongness.

sometimes I think things aren't great, and then my tiny dog curls up next to me and has dreams where she snores honkingly, and I guess things are a little bit great, for the moment, in that specific area of armchair.

Friendly reminder that if you're the kind of person who (rightfully) says 'Your nostalgia is not worth more than trans lives' re financially supporting JKR - but you're still vocally excited about Eurovision because 'it's gay Christmas'... you might be a big fat hypocrite.

Sadness is realising that The Musketeers will never work as a four-person group costume because you'll keep having to stop to explain who D'Artagnan is.

This isn’t complicated.
“Every Harry Potter book, movie, video game, stage show ticket, theme park pass, and piece of merchandise that’s sold puts money into Rowling’s pocket, which she can use to keep her crusade against trans people going.”

Having now watched every entry in the Saw franchise (thanks @contrapoints.bsky.social), I was dared to do the same with Friday the 13th. I have regrets. So far (Jason Takes Manhattan) the best thing about F13 is that it makes Saw look very exciting. I'm not sure I can hold out until the space one.

One of the things I love about @tkingfisher.com's The Twisted Ones is the sheer realism of Bongo the dog. As someone who regularly asks my dog, with rhetorical seriousness, 'now, are you a bit silly?', come for the fucked up deer, stay for my perfect stupid boy.

Devouring Fortune book cover. Features a woman with folded arms on the cover. Her arms are crossed. She has straight black hair and her skin is light brown. She has a haunted expression. She is dressed in a white priestess outfit with wrapped bandages up her arms. Behind her lurks a monstrous skeleton whispering in her ear. They are surrounded by red flowers.
I'm happy to say today is the day for the book cover reveal of DEVOURING FORTUNE! @jeleynai.bsky.social did an incredible job on the illustration, I'm in awe.
