Realise today that when I masc up my hair and wear a vest I really start to resemble a less buff version of Simon Gruber from Die Hard with a Vengeance. The jury is still out on whether this is fortunate or unfortunate.
I went to the secondhand bookshop, bought two books for me, realised that's not fair, bought two books for husband (including a gorgeous Art of Star Trek book with pictures of all the bottles in Quark's 🤩), THEN picked up my library hold, then went to Tesco. Now my back hurts. Why, who can say.

I don't get my writing ideas from an LLM, I get them from dreams where an enticing figure (who looks human until you catch them from the corner of your eye) whispers to me from the edge of a starless night, leaving me waking refreshed, satisfied, and yet flushed with a subtle sensation of wrongness.
sometimes I think things aren't great, and then my tiny dog curls up next to me and has dreams where she snores honkingly, and I guess things are a little bit great, for the moment, in that specific area of armchair.
tbf this is what happens when I decide cataloguing all my projects in excel counts as writing 😅

Having now watched every entry in the Saw franchise (thanks @contrapoints.bsky.social), I was dared to do the same with Friday the 13th. I have regrets. So far (Jason Takes Manhattan) the best thing about F13 is that it makes Saw look very exciting. I'm not sure I can hold out until the space one.
One of the things I love about @tkingfisher.com's The Twisted Ones is the sheer realism of Bongo the dog. As someone who regularly asks my dog, with rhetorical seriousness, 'now, are you a bit silly?', come for the fucked up deer, stay for my perfect stupid boy.
