Here I am a totally normal person that loves to complain about the NBA ratings being down. Every Sunday morning I check the local paper to see what the top grossing movie is for that weekend and I go see that. What's that? movie ticket sales are also way down? Shit

there are a variety of reasons for it and none are the specific issue a person has of exhibit A on why he stopped watching.

Kat and OG trades were excellent. This Bridges trade is an all time bungling of assets. We all knew it was a lot over the summer but then you see how it has played out, seeing that they gave up a huge haul for a 4th option who tinkered w his shot and plays subpar defense. Yikes.

Some positive ends - this team will look very different in Jan when Precious & Mitch comes back (if he can stay healthy). It will help the defense and the lineups will improve. Bad game for him tonight but I love Kat over Randle . OG has taken a leap and Brunson is still going to be Brunson

He is essentially a worse 21/22 RJ Barrett right now. He does some things well (great in the paint/midrange) but his defense is overrated and you can't trust him to hit open 3s.

I got not giving up a huge pick haul for Donovan. You didn't know what Brunson was going to be yet, it's a small guard pairing, you are still building your team. So years later you give up the picks for Bridges because you feel like you are ready to go and he will be the perfect 3rd guy.

Thibs is too rigid with his rotations. He lacks the creativity that someone like Spo would have w this roster. I get the depth is not what it needs to be but there is really no second unit. Fans get sensitive about the mins but it's a thing and there is no second team. He has to mesh better lineups

Some Knicks thoughts watching this rough game. The offensive ceiling has been raised but there will be games like this where shots don't fall. As expected the defense got significantly worse. They just won't win games as currently constructed if the offense takes a game off no matter who they play

Wilson busted, Rodgers didn't work out (his fault bc of the o-line), the d-line is worse this season. Got to pick Saleh. Didn't have a backup last season etc

He was okay with an older Duane Brown starting last season and that sunk Rodgers game 1. How did any of his big FA signing on the oline do? How did Smith do this season? How did any of his FA picks beyond DJ Reed do?

Joe Douglas never got out from drafting Becton over a much safer Wirfs. He was constantly trying to tweak the o-line and putting valuable cap space and picks into that. It's year 6 and they had to go o-line again in first round over Bowers who is looking all world.

Why Joe Douglas never stood a chance as Jets GM As owner Woody Johnson took on a bigger role running the Jets, the writing was on the wall.

This is such PR for Joe Douglas. Woody Johnson is terrible and maybe worst owner in sports but the idea that he never stood a chance as GM is just flat out false.

He never got over busting on Becton. Constantly trying to fix the OL - using cap space and draft picks. Had to take OL again this year over Bowers. Went into last season with Duane Brown and Rodgers gets hurt first game.

Both things can be true

Woody Johnson is the worst owner in the NFL & Joe Douglas did an overall bad job as GM and got an extremely long leash to make it work
