Angus Council SNP administration toppled in no confidence motion Former SNP group second-in-command George Meechan will be new Angus Council leader after his resignation triggered a coup.

Labour have just put the Tories in power in Angus Council.

Your most recent reminder that, if you want to keep the Tories out, the Scottish Labour party cannot be trusted with your vote.

This alone should be reason not to vote Labour next year. Their Thatcherite legacy lives on in PFI schemes that continue to rob the public purse and public sector workers to this day, due to cost the Scottish taxpayer around £1.1bn this year with £13bn still to be paid.

Strange how there's no magic money tree for Scotland or Wales but a bottomless pit of money for England.

Whoever could have foreseen that the corporatisation and monopolisation of the free press would be a terrible idea.

Jeez. A clip has emerged of Donald Trump in the Oval Office discussing how people made money in the recent market fluctuations as a result of his tariffs.

"He made two-and-a-half billion today, and he made nine hundred million, that's not bad!"

I’m delighted to see that the SNP government has delivered over 36,000 baby boxes across NHS Grampian since they were introduced in 2017.

In total, 335,775 boxes have now been distributed to parents across Scotland since the start of the project.

Trump Pauses ‘Reciprocal’ Tariffs, but Hits China Harder The 10% global baseline levy for all imports will stay in effect.

President Trump walked back his steep tariffs on nearly 100 nations that had gone into effect just hours earlier, a shocking reversal that sent stocks soaring. He announced simultaneously that he would raise tariffs on Chinese imports to 125%

Steph Paton: Why should any young person take up arms for the UK? CONSCRIPTION is the word of the day, with allusions to mandatory military service making their way back into Britain’s frothing far-right press.

Why indeed

New analysis shows 700,000 children could be lifted out of poverty overnight by following Scotland New analysis shows 700,000 children could be lifted out of poverty overnight by following Scotland

The SNP are investing in future generations and are committed to lifting children out of poverty.

Next year we'll go further and scrap the two child cap, taking even more children out of poverty.

Imagine how much more we could do with independence 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Christina McKelvie saw the very best in people, and growing up she also saw firsthand the injustice faced by her family and her community.

Her experiences made her determined to address the many injustices facing society.

We will carry on that fight in Christina’s honour.

Christina was the most genuine, caring and empathetic person I will ever meet.

Anyone who worked for her as she supported constituents, @snp.org and fought for independence will know how life-changing the experience was.

My thoughts are with her family.

Thank you for everything, boss.

Everyone at the SNP DMG is devasted to hear of passing of Christina. She was a political force of nature and a true friend and ally to the disabled community.

I am devastated at the passing of Christina McKelvie MSP, Minister for Drugs and Alcohol Policy and one of the kindest and most generous people I have ever met.

A force of nature, Christina enhanced the lives of all around her. My deepest sympathy to Keith, Jack and Lewis.
