We met amazing scientists, and we worked closely with friends and colleagues, that sat with us around this biological puzzle and helped us build it. Amaia Zabala and Mikel Pujana in the lab led this endeavour, and together with any collaborators they represent the spirit of collaborative science.
Sometimes scientific questions drive us in a quest for unexpected concepts that require new partners. When asking "how do polyamines signal" we opened a door leading to an 8-year research project, that now leaves us with more questions than answers (as good projects should do). rdcu.be/eY5gS
