I've seen comments on other websites saying this is a good use of AI because typesetting is just grunt work.
No it isn't! There is a lot of skill and craft to good typesetting and this is aiming to take jobs from people to automate what should be a human process!

I don't know which of my kouhais need to hear this, but because I'm seeing this in a ton of commercial J>E game locs: you really shouldn't retain quotation marks in the same places as the Japanese source text 9 times of 10, especially outside dialogue. Punctuation parity in general is often sloppy.
steam is apparently allowing "this game had AI in it that it didn't disclose" as a valid return statement, so if you or anyone you know actually paid $70 for slop, get that money back

I've been practicing lettering with pen and paper a lot recently. The letter S can be composed in so many different ways. Comic lettering is usually small-scale, and S can be a dense letter with tight curves. It's fascinating seeing how different fonts render the letter.
Shueisha has also released their statement separately in which while they embrace the potential of AI
