Keep Android Open Advocating for Android as a free, open platform for everyone to build apps on.

I know many were drawn to Android because it sold itself on being an open platform. Google has quietly decided they no longer need that promise. We'll be watching this closely and pushing for answers. If you share these concerns join the Keep Android Open campaign keepandroidopen.org/cta/

If harm reduction is your jam and you live in NSW, feel free to write your local member to encourage them to keep drug checking services running while the review of the trial is underway!

1300 words later, my email/essay is complete. Absolutely no practical way to share it on Bluesky, but I can promise you its a thrilling piece that will keep said pollies on the edge of their seats throughout.

And, of course, I can't stick entirely to the point... I've also added on my views on establishing fixed checking facilities in addition to the mobile festival service, and ensuring it is not limited to Sydney.

Well, time to keep working on my excessively long email re. the urgent need for the continuation of the NSW Drug Checking service as we wait for the review to take place.

2 hours until bed time is acceptable (based on my 4am wake up). Going to be the longest 2 hours of my life.

Went back to the gym today... fine while I was there, but fuck, I am tired and sore now. Tomorrow will be hell. Damn knee rehab.

Without stating your age, post a movie that released when you turned 18.

New Australia Institute research shows that the Japanese Government makes more revenue taxing Australian gas than the Australian Government!

It's a shame the upfront cost is still such a challenge. There will be lots on the second hand market in a couple of years at least, when the first rounds of salary packaged cars start selling

A quick glance on Chargefox shows there are rapid chargers available in Toowoomba. I drove my EV comfortably for a 3.5 hour drive without needing a charge - and I do not have a long range model. You'd have enough charge after 10 min on a rapid charger to make it back.

Why would you not be able to do that in an EV? Or is there sarcasm I am missing?

Do I want to pay to see Avenged Sevenfold, Coheed and Cambria and Thornhill? Reminiscing brain says yes, just for Coheed alone. Sensible brain says $200 to likely go alone may not be sensible.

I've got the opposite problem now - all feed, no replies! But 2 hours ago was nothing at all, so I guess... small wins?

Last year the AFR was running scare campaign articles seemingly every week on how increasing the tax on super balances over $3m was going to destroy aspiration.

Now they tell us - guess what you won't have $2m super even if you earn $300,000 a year!

End stage capitalism, yet again, at work. We will be given slop and we will like it, while creatives starve.

This is more of a serious question than it appears on the surface - I am genuinely interested in why it is, exactly, that some Australians have such a genuine fear of military aggression from China, which they seem to think we are directly at threat from. Why is this the case?

Off for an MRI next week (which really should have been done straight up IMO, given it has all the hallmarks of a degenerative meniscus injury), but physio starts tomorrow!

Watching the PHONeys melt down over some missed ballots is both hilarious and vomit inducing. I genuinely hope most Australians have a sensible level of faith in the AEC, unlike these blithering dunderheads and paid foreign accounts.

So, in my highly qualified judgement, the best I have is, "it looks slightly not right?" 🤣 back to the doctor tomorrow, and the physio on Friday.
Because I'm fucking weird, I actually hope they say there is something wrong, AND that something can be done, because I miss lifting, and it's been months
