Well. This Is. Wonderful.

I actually really want this... So, you have to buy it before I need to explain why I have...

It is £95 in really good condition, just the tips of his whiskers seem a bit... Sharp

Sylvester sits at approximately 24 inches high, so he's not little, probably life size?

...I don't think this was an accident...

'oh congratulations, you got the cover photo, let's hope nothing happens to cause a derailment, no, I'm totally fine with being on the label and not the cover, you've totally earned it'

Our intrepid book excavator has unearthed a real gem!

'An Outline of Occult Science by Rudolph Steiner' (aye, that Steiner) 1914.

£200 is a heavy slice of cheese but, it's incredibly rare & pretty weird 🤷

Also some fliers for meetings we've not priced, but they're really cool, so have a look!

We don't celebrate Izzy enough.

An absolute bastion of thrift, the beating heart of Shop2. Izzy has been volunteering with Birthlink longer than I've been alive. The best dressed, hardest worker, and won't take any nonsense.

Style icon, Thrift Shop hero. Absolute legend.

All praise Izzy!

A human mind designed this, another ok'd its production, another its distribution then yet another human mind saw it in a shop and spent their hard earned money on it.

Maybe the robots should be in charge...

Anyway, this is awful, wanna buy it?

Did one go on a beach holiday with Brian Wilson in 1976 and got in to hot water with the law in the former Yugoslavian republic of Macedonia for smuggling a ham sandwich across the border?

Or ya know maybe one just hates crisps.

Best one is the name for the full year!

New year, new names for our mannequin heads.

They all have a unique, Charm? (Even the boring ones have a lot of something😬)

Pop your name suggestions for each one in the comments, add a bit of backstory. Did 1 commit insurance fraud in 1993 and is still on the run from Churchills nodding dog? 1/2

Badly cut out individual letters hung in a shop window to form a sign saying 'poorly thought out sale'

Badly cut out individual letters hung in a shop window to form a sign saying 'poorly thought out sale'

I'm sure you're all wondering how the first day of the sale went...

I can confidently say, I was not as prepared as I thought, an hour to set up I thought, be fine I thought...

So, a huge thank you to all the customers that helped me hang stuff today... i'd still be there if it wasn't for yous 😎

Today is 13 years since I became custodian of the Thrift!

And in that time I've met so many wonderful people, some absolutely awful people, hundreds of good dogs, made friends, enemies, found some truly haunting things...
