Why you shouldn't develop your own app. You spend your time adding silly animations because how fun is that?

Jira meets Miro. I don't know why, but my brain just likes this much more.

Brain Board - ADHD Task Management

I have made a free (very early alpha) ADHD task board. www.tavu.in . It's mostly to manage my 4000 tabs and 12 projects... So I made another project... Anyway, if you need a visual board-style task management.

It will break :P Message me here, and same for cool ideas

I can see a future where the code of games is being adjusted at runtime by A.I. to ensure a seamless experience. Assume we have quantum CPUs, and they work as they are sold to us.

The game will seamlessly track players', find bugs, and fix them at run time.

#devlog 12: When your game gets complex, you should make systems to help track your logic. In my case, even with it being so small, the game already has complex logic, so I built a history system to track where my resources and what caused it.

#devlog 11: Now and then, you need to make a bunch of random editors to keep track of what's happening. I made some basic favourite systems inspired by a plugin I can't afford.

Free code: github.com/overdub/favo..., DL, add to Editor folder, and enjoy.

1.5% Game Progress Update: Finally, refactoring is done, and I connected some of the graphs again. Conditions and resources are now dynamic; I can create millions now.

My quest for near-infinite content continues.

#devlog 10: Should you refactor your code? Its been a while since I last posted because I don't have much progress. Just no-stop debug logs and errors to clean up my refactoring. My goal is to make sure the game doesn't have hard coded problems. its a challenge.

#devlog 9: The path to refactoring and fixing errors continues. I feel most developers don't like refactoring because it wastes time when you can be developing new features.

Morale does drop as there is no progress, but I move much faster once it's done.

#hottake #1: A.I. is a crucial piece in enabling us the ability to make Sword Art Online, I'm just saying.

#devlog 8: Nothing pretty to show to day, I have been fix errors, bugs, and stabilising the build.

I know, I know, I shouldn't do that. I should just release my game buggy like a few other titles do. Then fix it after release.

I am sorry. I just need to fix.

1.4% Game Progress Update: Don't know if this counts as a 0.1% progress. After what felt like two days of working on this. I finial managed to get the same effect on policies to work on conditions.

I am still confused and hurting. It was meant to be quick.

#devlog 7: Today, I have gotten nowhere. I want to display my effects in the same fashion as my policy cards but for conditions. However, this turned out to be a nightmare.

Now, I'm pulling out my hair in frustration. Blockers like this annoy me.

Yeah, it helps you forecast if what your doing is reducing or increasing the work by what you have done before.

1.3% Game Progress Update: I decided I couldn't use Unity's UI line render and would build my own. So now, with every condition and soon resources and happiness, you can see the trending line helping you make more informed decisions.

Happy days! ๐Ÿ‘‘

#devlog 6: To this day, I still don't understand why building simple line graphs in Unity is so hard. I can do this in minutes in Google Sheets, and it takes me days to complete in Unity.

The pain is real. ๐Ÿคฌ

#devlog 5: I have found the perfect UI asset pack that will cover about 70% of the UI I need in my game. This is a major win, and I'm excited to support the creator of this pack.

I have also found a friend who will help with the last 30% of art.

A good day.

1.2% Game Progress Update: We have conditions now.
If your population is to high, run out of food, or as a result of your choices from an event.
Condition will be placed on you, and help or hinder you.
Work hard to keep them or get rid of them.

#devlog 4: We get told, never release a demo more than 30 minutes to 1 hour. Just curious, if I released a 10 hour demo, you get to experience a lot of the game, and there is about 30 hours of content. Would you buy the full game or would the demo be enough?

Oh no, you didn't talk to your lawyer before entering that agreement. Well, I guess it pays in family points and amazing memories. Do you have any information on the game? I would love to support you.

#devlog 3: The summer is crual. I have no art skills. It escaped me. I spent my time on design and programming. Now, I troll through pages of Unity assets, hoping to find the perfect UI package that will encapsulate my game.

And beg my art friends to help me.

1.1% Game Progress Update: To make life easier, I wanted to make a central screen manager. Now none of the screens are connected, and only one "screen" is enabled at a time.

You wont ever know this when playing, but it makes my life much easier.

Wow, what a small world. I watched your video, I love your devlog format, and I'm your 28th subscriber :).

How long does it take you to make those videos?

On idea theft, how about idea sharing? :) I would love to chat. Developing can be lonely work in this world.

#indiegames #devlog 2: Sunday reached me, the fields have been sowed, and the king expects tax this full moon. If only 'Cuddle a Frog' festival was later, maybe I could manage the tax.

My progress was slow, distracted waiting for #marvelrivals. I connected all my scenes up to my new scene changer.

#devlog 1: It's a Saturday. It's hot. The kids are distracted, giving me a micro-moment to write this devlog before they rampage in and yell for food. Destroying my life force and energy in their path. I love my kids.....

I just reorganised my project so I can make life a little easier. Progress!
