Soooo many hellos! 😆

She hasn’t been breaking anything down so far but she does get sad when the doors are closed and she’s very close to figuring out how to open one of our back doors. 😬

Maybe! But I would probably have to be there and then she would be more interested in getting her chest rubbed. 😂 She doesn’t seem to want to go outside without me (and it was raining all day yesterday).

Starting with basic commands because she doesn’t seem to know any, but would definitely like to give her a job. A previous dog, Alice, completely transformed the second I (inadvertently) signaled to her that her job was to look after my daughter. She took this very seriously and was the best dog.

They seem good so far! Franklin had a GSD friend 16 years ago at his foster. Maybe she will remind him of his youth.

Franklin seems unsure but he enjoys walking under her. Poppy mostly ignores him after she says hello, but she enjoys giving him kisses, which Franklin tolerates.

We met Poppy when we stumbled upon an adoption event in January, and fell in love but weren’t sure it was the right time to adopt. Last week we decided to go for it. She has been in a lovely foster home in the meantime.

Say hello to Poppy 😊

Poppy is a sweet 8-year-old girl who enjoys being within an inch of at least one human at all times and dislikes closed doors. She has been with us since Friday and seems to be settling in well.

I was at a dog-friendly bar in NW Portland tonight and a table behind me started singing Happy Birthday and then I realized it wasn’t for a person but a really old dog who was wearing a crown and he was old and fucking adorable and I love this city

These days we usually know where he is and he doesn’t move much, but when he was younger he had this incredible superpower for knowing where I was going to be before I did and being there already, so yes I did have to watch out.

They can be a lot of work, but I also live in a place where things grow easily. I did a fair amount of weeding a month ago, and the rain (and work I did in past years) did the rest.

I’ll tell you what I’m blathering about…I’ve got information, man! New shit has come to light!

Thank you. Juniper and Maggie were two of my favorites too 🥰. We’re grieving pretty hard, and cherishing every day with our old man. It was a wonderful almost 10 years with that sweet girl.
