So, here's what's going on, short version first:
My Girlfriend,Minty, has congestive heart failure and had to be hospitalized for 3 days, and we now have looming medical debt somewhere in the range of $7,000 USD.
Roughly two weeks ago I took my partner (OniMarmalade) to the doctor as she had been feeling bad. We had both been sick back in December, but her symptoms were sticking around and nothing we tried helped. She was constantly lethargic, exhausted, barely ate, couldn't sleep due to a horrible cough, and I finally was able to take her to urgent care. Upon being seen, her blood pressure was at 220/118, extremely high, dangerously high. They immediately had us go to the emergency room, where they ran tests and diagnosed her. She was fully admitted to the hospital via ambulance, and spent the next 2 days there. During this time, I was unable to work as I was back and forth at the hospital, and took the rest of the week off to take care of her and get her situated back home. I've also had to miss several days of work sense for follow-up appointments, to get medication, etc. It goes without saying that we are both struggling, both financially and mentally. I'm doing my best to maintain normal work hours, though it is difficult and the stress of an already stressful job plus medical issues is making it worse. Currently, obviously, Minty cannot work. A mixture of medication plus making some major life changes means she cannot drive, operate machinery, or do moderate physical activity, so we're asking for help. As of now, there's no sort of rewards being offered aside from what YCH art Minty can do, and I do understand that we're asking at a difficult time, but we are running out of options.
