Sometimes I just want to drink a $15 mocktail while my copy of AJA plays thru at 20k MacIntosh tube power amp and is drowned out by a conversation of finance bros talking about crypto

14:59 is their Zooropa
I should have gone to this damn show
Ok yes that 45 minute jam was at the "Final" Metro show in 2000 but still
I'm not gonna retcon The Pumpkins as a jam band maybe we need to give their 96 shows a bit more attention
The longest jam the Smashing Pumpkins ever played is only 1.5 minutes shorter than the longest jam The Dead ever played
I'm a sucker for "Someday my Prince Will Come"

i'm selling a guitar on marketplace and some doorknob offered me a pixelart nft of the same guitar in trade and sent me an image of it and told me it was a 1 of 1 so i downloaded it and replied that now it was a 1 of 2 and this was the last thing he said before i blocked him

He says his family is on the road with him which is great, he's mostly playing weekends and keeping weeknights free. A good way to split the difference so he's not doing back-to-back nights as the months fly by, but I hope he knows he's not gonna let us down if he needs to catch his breath

That's gotta be it. The intro riff Jerry keeps playing is the same tempo as Throwing Stones, and he tries to do a double time Wharf Rat but it just doesn't work
They've definitely pulled back the weirdness/harmonizer/ghostly synths in some of the tracks
I don't have the MCIS repress (yet) but good to hear the bass is consistent.
Some of the remix choices I'm fine with, some I'm not too enthused about.
But I'll be real I bought this mostly for the art packaging, which might be one of the best LP packaging in my collection, and to have "Speed Kills" on a physical release. It's the full length version too, not the edit!
The bass is THICK on this pressing. Memories of cranking up the MAXXBASS on my Sony discman were strong.
