Yet more evidence that the post-2012 funding model for universities has been a complete and utter disaster, piling resources into poor quality provision, allowing the top institutions to cannibalise those just below then pulling the rug from under the whole system once its failings became obvious

Not completely unrelated, but for my nonlawyer friends, you should also check out Dru’s administrative law lectures on YouTube. They’re a great resource that I took advantage of in law school.

Does recourse to the shadow docket violate constl due process? In a larger constl context,do rulings issued therein undermine separation of powers? Is the power of jud review ultimately diminished by rulings issued through frequent recourse to emergency applications?

The NYT got the receipts. The Supreme Court's secret docket has handed Trump 80% of his emergency requests in under a year. No arguments. No explanation. That's a court doing politics in the dark.

Exactly the same story in Ireland, with our Special Areas of Conservation (SACs), whether at sea or on land, no less trashed than anywhere else.

We are spending an estimated $1B per day on the war on Iran.
Now Trump and Co want an extra $200B from Congress to fund the war.
But healthcare? Cut.
Food stamps? Cut.
Education? Cut.
Cancer research? Cut.
Environmental protections? Cut.
And of course, taxes on the rich? Cut.
It's obscene.

I am listening to this now. Wurman just implied that people who enter the country illegally are, on his understanding of the Constitution, subject to our criminal laws but not entitled to sue or be sued in US courts. This is not the law and he knows it. Nor should it be.
