Alright, there’s a lot of talk about Stacks in our Athens update, but that’s not all we shipped!

We needed a new container for Stacks, so we’ve built Frames. And because we care about icons and illustration, we built another — Graphics.

The Secrets of Witchfire Graphics: The Photogrammetry It sound hysterical today but in 2013, GIFs were all the rage. Yes, I mean short videos. But at the time, they were real animated GIFs. Not MP4s pretending to be them. We had no money to marke...

It’s made by a small team in Poland. For the graphics, they use a technique called photogrammetry to scan real objects for the game. They explain the technique here: www.theastronauts.com/2023/11/secr...

Last night I bought Witchfire on Steam. The graphics are shockingly well made. Even on Medium (I have an RTX 2060s), the game looks unbelievably good. Apparently, the Steam Deck is capable of moving it, too, I have to test it. Gameplay is very good too! store.steampowered.com/app/3156770/...
