I wanted to practice drawing the next premade to familiarize myself with her shapes before I sculpt her head. It turned into a full body sketch. I'm super rusty, I haven't made any character designs since last year and have barely touched my drawing app.

don't tie off your knot on the surface area. instead, to hide the last ladder stitch knot, you can simply push your needle and thread into the head base itself, pop it out inside the roof of the mouth and cut it from there. (only if the base is upholstery foam)

alternatively, you could make a long horizontal straight incision starting where the opening is, and ladder stitch the whole area back closed, pulling the fur taught on both sides and that should (in theory) be enough to disguise both the hole and balded area

make a couple stitches with a ladder stitch right where the hole is. get yourself a needle felting pen, take some fur fibers and felt them into the remaining bald areas. then trim the new fibers short to match the surrounding area

The process

i've always admired how different the techniques are- like airbrushing, making molds and casts, using silicone, studying anatomy ect.
I would really love to have a new set of skills and tools

Does anyone have any realistic or semi-realistic fursuit makers they really like?! please link them!!! I eventually want to dip my toes into a new style and try new techniques but first I must spend time simply observing~
