OneShortEye made a full documentary about The Phantom Fellows, and seeing the whole journey laid out like that is surreal in the best way. From the first spark of an idea to actually shipping the game, it’s all there.

Sharing a cool project from @goldenleafgames.bsky.social, a game that features dev art from games like The Phantom Fellows and more! It’s totally free to play, no data or money required. Great to see indie devs finding creative ways to support each other.

A while ago, I asked people what adventure game puzzles pissed them off the most. I got quite a few good responses and made them into a video: youtu.be/KqgYJ6V_Xjk

Play The Phantom Fellows! 4 years of solo dev work, writing, coding, art, music, all of it.
It’s a comedy adventure about two best friends (one alive, one very dead) who start a paranormal biz together.
Made to show my son what it looks like to finish something.

I built The Phantom Fellows at this desk.
Every line of code, puzzle, UI system, and mechanic, from scratch.
You can click on everything. Look at it, interact with it, and it will do something.
All original assets. No shortcuts. On Steam now.

The Phantom Fellows doesn’t fake interactivity.
Almost everything you see is clickable. Not just once, look at it, interact with it, talk to it.
Built by one developer, with original art, systems, and puzzles.

You unlock the fast travel map on Day 3.
And it doesn’t just take you where you need to go.
It lets you return.
To the diner. To the museum. To Anna’s house.
“Knock on Anna’s door across Days 3–5 to see her reactions evolve.”
Some places are worth revisiting.

The Phantom Fellows is out now on Steam.
Switch between two characters, Oliver (alive) and Englebert (not so much), across seven paranormal cases in a haunted Colorado town.
Packed with unique dialogue, dry humor, and a surprising amount of emotional weight.

Thanks! Day 3 is where things start to open up and the pacing shifts a bit, glad you’re exploring at your own speed, click all the things! That car menu unlocks a LOT of new ground to cover. ☺️
I didn’t want to just make a puzzle game. I wanted to make something that felt lived in, like it had weird history, offbeat logic, and ghosts, lots of ghosts!
That’s what The Phantom Fellows is all about: layered storytelling, and a strange little town.
15% off on GOG! bit.ly/3MZoozF

Indeed it was Bob Siebenberg from Supertramp! He did a phenomenal job, especially considering how limited the tech was. If you haven’t seen it yet, SQH did a great interview with him a few years back: www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfHj... Worth a watch!
Such an intricate game
This is great!
Gotta drop this here
