My lukewarm take is it is no longer elitist to use fancy words on the internet. If you are already on the internet, there are free dictionaries. It's cool, in fact, to expand your diction to include new words!

Yesterday, I got through everything except rewrites. Job interview actually went well, so I'm gonna slam through the design test real quick. Then, I have to send out wedding Save-the-Dates--since the website apparently doesn't automatically do it for me 💀💀💀Then, edits
