My dad wasn't good for much, but he did introduce films like this to us when we were young. He had really good taste in movies and enjoyed sharing the classics with us from an early age; I give him a lot of credit for that.

I did this with my sister and cousins on big sand dunes in Michigan. We only had towels, not sheets. But we kept pointing at Lake Michigan shouting, "To Aqaba!" at each other. I have photos of it and they still make me laugh. We were weird (younger) teenagers.

I don't know how I never noticed this about #LawrenceOfArabia before, but I've just noticed that this scene was filmed at Plaza de España in Sevilla, Spain. Same location was used in the Star Wars prequels. It's a beautiful place and we enjoyed rowing boats in its canal. #TCMParty

I saw 'A Place in the Sun' is showing at #TCMFF this year. I was hoping it'd be broadcast soon for reasons, but am wondering if TCM broadcast doesn't show films shown in the festival within the same year or if it just will take a long time? Any festival veterans out there know? #TCMParty

I saw the controversial 'Wuthering Heights' yesterday. I've read the book many times, but I am capable of having an open mind. I really liked the movie and so many rumors about it are simply not true. So if you hear a real hot take about it, consider the source very likely only watched the trailer!

I'm very excited that spring training for baseball has started! We're on our way to a hopeful season for the #Cubs, who hopefully will be ready to go deeper into the postseason than last year!

Season 7, btw, is a bit of a slog for the first half but it does set up season 8, which is a hell of a ride. So if you watch S7, just be prepared that it's a pre-requisite to a stunning final season.

It is a grind but it is so worth it to see it all the way through - the series finale blew my mind! I watched w/ a friend who had to take breaks and watch some comedies and lighter fare before continuing on so I get how hard it is to watch but I really hope you can complete the series!

All that said, a friend convinced me to watch 'Heated Rivalry' which I presume will cost me some brain cells. But I am determined to not get old and not understand the multitude of references to it so I'll be seeing it next week. Pray for me 😂

I've not been very active on social media, except for posting silly Instagram stories, because I got sucked into 8 seasons of 'Homeland.' What an incredible but grinding series. Looking forward to getting back to classic films and noirs soon!

So watched #Homeland on #Disney+ and suffering through an ad approx every 6 mins that lasted nearly 2 mins per ad break, only to find it's on Netflix. I rewatched a couple early episodes there and there's 3 ad breaks and less than 30 seconds usually. #Disney money grab strikes again.
