Perhaps people's profile name can be redacted but maintain the data for usability? I am not a tech/data person; just a player who is concerned about the privacy issues the way you have this currently set up.

Where did you come to the conclusion that "most people don't care that their stats are searchable"? I am on multiple comp servers, and no one was happy with this. I don't recall you asking the community to come to that conclusion?

Default should be that the profiles are *private.* Continue to advertise your site across the platforms. People can then signup with your site, agree to your site terms, and make their profile's public. The way you have it set up currently, many people do not have that option (see my prev resp) 2/2

Hana, please understand me: I think this site is impressive and fascinating, and I can only imagine the ways that it could help the community. However the way the privacy settings are being set up is backwards. 1/2

However the players who appear in a match via someone else uploading a replay code don't get the option of privacy. They most likely don't even know their data is public and thus can't opt-out. Those that don't have Discord also don't have that option.

This may be true within the larger eSports space. However I am not aware that any of this type of player Splatoon info is readily accessible to the public before your site. You are the one who giving access to this info and can control how it is disseminated, correct?

Ok but people who have not accessed this site ever has their profile on that site. It appears that if a player was just present in a match that someone else uploaded, their profile appears. Is this correct?
