I very much agree with this! I only call them this when talking about their historical roles or for convenience. While Zeus to me is a symbol of leadership, I don’t see him as a typical patriarch figure in a hierarchy. I mean, I’m an-com so I don’t believe in hierarchies!
Precisely because the men at the time were trash. Of course they were going to write the King of the Gods as a vile patriarch, because that was their vision of masculinity. What’s more apologetic is naturalising rape by saying even the gods do it. I’m not retconning, I’m doing analysis
I’m going that far back because I’m a Hellenic Polytheist so it’s important to me that people don’t reinforce rape culture through the guise of this religion
But yes, it is certainly awful that a rapist is going to be at the highest office as ‘leader of the free world’

Why do I use Etsy as well as my own site? 🤔
Because they have a search function, making it easier for people to find my zine and readings!
They also give customers peace of mind with their buyer protection.
However, costs are higher on Etsy because I have to take fees into account.
The logo for my Etsy shop ‘That HelPol Witch’. It is a golden circle with black hands raised upwards, with the moon phases coming out of them in a semi-circular fashion. In the gap between these is an outline of the sun and moon joined together. In cursive black font at the top, the shop name follows the curve of the circle. At the bottom, also curved, in handwritten style font, is the shop’s purpose: ‘witchcraft zines and readings’

I have no idea but I definitely feel the same way
I think mine is also divination, specifically with the Citadel oracle deck as I really connect w/ it (hence doing readings!)
My ability to feel energy and discern it is also getting better, too. I’m more able to sense spirits and tell who they are, especially because I have occasional clairalience

If you are very very worried about misinfo/disinfo and the information landscape pushing people toward extremism, you should also be very very worried about generative AI. Weirdly, people seem to view the tech as neutral!
Please do not use AI generated illustrations for your posts, blogs, etc. I prefer no pics or crappy clipart or whatever to obviously AI generated stuff. If you post AI generated pics I will most likely block you.
Why? AI pics are hella bad for the environment AND are built on the use of stolen art.
