After taking positions on football stuffs then readjusting following pressers TWICE this week, I’m considering just outsourcing all my life decisions to Derek McInnes.

I succumbed to AI this week. I have seen the positives and from a selfish perspective, they are brilliant and extremely beneficial to me 😄 It is now very tempting to forget everything else that I know and don’t like about it - I wont really though. It still also terrifies me.

McKinley always seems to look miserable and like he hates every minute of it. I just want them to make a normal manager appointment. Something appropriate and not from left field and not a club legend. That’s all.

I was a bit stuck when trying to think of times I’d seen him do things that made me think there was a suitable manager in there somewhere. The fact it seems so quick makes me think it must have been broadly supported by the board members. A compromise position would have been summer.

I get that. I’ve just spent the last however many months telling myself we wouldn’t really see what he could do until after the summer. In some small way I feel cheated 😂

I’m really quite surprised that the board did that. Sacking Critchley. It’s uncharacteristically quick and decisive. Comforting in a weird way.

I’d just managed to talk myself into believing he deserved a shot with his own squad. I can’t say I’m sorry to see this news though. Thanks and everything but let’s move on now. I can’t see the back of this season soon enough.

All the daft wee metal baking pans I bought and were found to be too small for their intended purpose are now coming into their own in our Air Fryer Era. My ‘never throw things away, they’ll come in handy sometime’ principle is working for us…. For once. 😂

I think they just wanted us to know that they’re seeing the same things as we are, and they’re attempting to do something about it. That something will ultimately come to nothing, but it’s a gesture I suppose. Meh.

And I don’t want to talk about Saturday. The whole day felt like a microcosm of this season. Dodgy decisions, a bit of effort but not quite enough, some shaky and disappointing performances, missed chances, but lovely to spend time with great pals.

I’m pleased to read this and I’m glad someone at the club has the energy to follow up this imbalance of poor decisions, but I’m out of energy and just scunnered by this whole season. I’m ready for it to be over. I’m ready for binning some players and getting fresh faces in.

One day I’ll learn to go to bed at a sensible hour the night before a cup game. That day (and night) is not today.

How honest are you being with those ppl in their 80s? If you say “do you agree with ppl expressing themselves however they wish?” versus “are you happy to receive intimate personal care from a male when you explicitly asked for female bc you feel vulnerable?” you’re going to get different answers.

Today was nuts. Actual historically and legally significant levels of nuts but I don’t think BlueSky allows or encourages discussion of women’s rights so I’ll just say that I’m bursting with pride and leave it there.
