With all that’s going on in the world its heartwarming to see time taken to warn people of subtle hazards they might not otherwise spot

I submitted a grant with @krikirschner.bsky.social TWO WHOLE DAYS before the deadline. Feels like my brain finally matured to adulthood.
If you want to see Michelle Mone kicked out of the House of Lords and arrested until she pays the £232,000,000 she owes give this a RT.
If you want Rishi Sunak's involvement in the £14,900,000,000 PPE Fraud he covered up investigated, LIKE.
My pal @dimitrislagos.bsky.social has a fabulous position available in his lab. U of York is a great place to work. York is great place to live.
That made me smile
Appalled to see the Telegraph giving Aseem Malhotra a platform today. He has spread increasingly dangerous vaccine misinformation with impunity.
The GMC’s failure to remove him from the register is every bit as appalling. A spineless dereliction of duty.
Unbelievable. Why am I truly shocked every time greedy individuals personally grab loads of money they don’t deserve? Perhaps because as a public sector employee I have to beg for every penny just to keep the not very excellent show on a B-road.
My phone reminded me of this pic this day 2020
Exciting to share the new impact factor of @hemasphere-journal.bsky.social, the #openaccess journal of the European Hematology Association (EHA).
The 2024 Journal Impact Factor is 14.6 - ranking as number 5 of 99 hematology journals (Source: Journal Citations Reports, Clarivate).
We are HemaSphere proud at #EHA2025, where 2 of our editors received special EHA awards! Congrats to Jan Cools, Ed in Chief, for the education & mentoring award; and to Mandy Lauw, Scientific Ed, for the YoungEHA award. Well deserved 👏 @jancools.bsky.social @mandylauw.bsky.social
Excellent adult acute lymphoid leukaemia session at #BSH (well attended despite 8am start) put together and chaired by Clare Rowntree - seen here, in action
Congrats Nicola

I remember being terrified of them because they didn’t actually mean no parking here ever ever
Just done my mandatory NHS fraud awareness training. I’m reminded anew how getting away with things on a grand multi million dollar scale is tolerated and even applauded whereas getting so much as a free meal raises an eyebrow for the average private sector employee.
Do I really want to pay nearly £700 per annum to be a Fellow of the @rcphysicians.bsky.social ? I can’t think of a single, direct benefit that I actually need or use. Conversely, a lot of what the college did during this past year has caused me considerable dismay. What are colleagues doing ?

Oh dearie me
Letters to the newspaper vs. reality. (With no disrespect to the letter writers or their contents).
What could possibly go wrong?
Grateful to @lner.co.uk staff for their hard work and good cheer in moving a lot of people between London & the frozen North.
“Take stock” was on my to-do list today as I make my way back to @york.ac.uk @cbr-uoy.bsky.social
Congrats Sunniyat. And let’s grab as many ppl as we can over here
