Powell River is hella nice. We’ve seen as many as 5 humpbacks at a time playing a few hundred yards from shore for 4 days straight. Plus, everyone we pass says hello and it’s very walkable. We’ll be back.

It’s beyond tragic. It’s systemic. As cycling numbers increase, we cannot accept the status quo of cyclist deaths.
It is on all levels of government to build systems, regulations, and roads that reach Vision Zero.
We’re still very far from that vision.
It’s officially vacation when you take the work keys off of the key ring. WAHOOOOO!!!

One reason I think it’s important to continue to highlight the disparity on our streets is that most people just don’t see it.
Despite it being obvious to some, so many people don't have clarity because we have done such an incredible job of normalizing this imbalance.
Our living room is north facing and does not get direct sunlight but I love how the sun’s reflected off the condos downtown and onto our walls.
Folks from all over are starting to appreciate our biking infrastructure.
To celebrate the start of Langford’s micromobility program, I took one of the new Evolve e-bikes on an adventure. This is Langford to Victoria and back by way of the E&N and the Galloping Goose. This 30km trip is almost all trail & protected bike lane.
It’s beautiful, it’s safe & it feels amazing.

When I started Oonee I was shocked to see so many pols treat 🔒🚲 as 2nd tier issue. That was not my experience growing up in BK.

The world is feeling extra bleak today. Might be a good day to stay in bed like Brian Wilson did.
