Who’s got some amazing and beautiful shiny apps to share? I need to convince someone that they don’t all look the same. #rstats

Yikes! Especially after it was a grant funded excavation.
“The Melsonby hoard has been valued at £254,000 and a fundraising campaign to secure it for the nation will be launched by the Yorkshire Museum in York.”
What does that mean? ^
Indoor air?
Our local grocer told me that they couldn’t get rid of the American produce. People just weren’t buying it.
neo: "What are you trying to say? I can't use rm(list = ls())"? morpheus: no neo, I'm saying that when you're ready, you won't have to
This is the way.
Why would one do this rather than use the cranlogs package?
Right. I think maybe I don’t quite understand the scope then. It is not intended to be a drop in replacement for arrow’s parquet reader?
Last time I used this, it struggled with deeply nested data structure - think a json blob jammed into a parquet file. This would be a nice feature.

Some of the names that I considered for the tidyverse were sleekverse, deftverse, and dapperverse!!
Hmmm. I’m sorry that you took that away from my comment. In no way was I trying to minimize the effect of the tidyverse api. It’s been transformative.
I think it isn’t quite right to describe ibis as a tidyverse port. Certainly it draws from the tidyverse but I think the real interesting thing that it tries to do is establish a consistent syntax across many different backends. Fills a different niche.
Have you tried using ibis?

Some real “getting the band back together” vibes on here right now. #RStats
Did everyone just _move_ here or does everyone just maintain a hundred accounts now?
