Picky Eater - Gator Days Characters Young August - Alligator - August when he was around Gustopher's age. Picky about food May - August's mother who just wants him to eat. August - Alligator - A soft spoken single father who works in IT. Gustopher's dad. Gustopher - Alligator - An easily excitable child who loves making friends. August's son. Transcript Panel 1 Narration: Long ago. A younger August is at the dinner table and hesitant to eat. His mother is fed up with his behavior. Young August: This looks gross. May: I hope someday you have a kid as picky as you. Panel 2 Narration: Present day An adult August is having dinner with his son. He has corn on his plate along with some round meat colored item that is possibly meat. We will probably never know for sure. Gustopher is holding a bottle of mayonnaise that has "Real Egg" written on it and a hot sauce bottle that appropriately says "HOT". Gustopher: I'm putting mayonnaise and hot sauce on my corn! August: Okay. This is not something August would do with his corn but he guesses it's a pretty normal. Panel 3 Gustopher now holds a can of sardines and a jam jar. Gustopher is partially covering the jar but "SPACE JA" can be seen on the label. Clearly, this must be "SPACEY JAN" brand jam and not a reference to movie where cartoon animals play basketball. Gustopher: And sardines! And jam! August: You have to eat that. Gustopher: I will! Panel 4 Gustopher holds out a spoon towards August. It has corn, mayo, hot sauce, sardine, and jam all in one spoonful. August's face is filled with concern. Gustopher: It tastes so weird! Try it! August thinks back to his mother having wished that he would have a child as picky as him. He wishes that were the case. August (thinking): This is worse.
Picky Eater - Gator Days
Panel 1. The adventurer and his fairy are in front of the door of a nightmarish dungeon, it's dark, foggy, and the inside the door we can't see anything except a deep red light. > Dungeon: "Welcome adventurers, to the Dungeon of Dark Patterns!"
Panel 2. In one room of the dungeon, a giant beautiful and inviting door with a red carpet, and on the side, in the shadow a too little door. Writing on big door: Go to the trap, on small door: Go to the treasure. The adventurer crouch and do a little sign to the fairy to follow him to the little door. > Dungeon: "Ha ha, you're good!"
Panel 3. The aventurer is now putting some effort climbing on an old rope in the middle of a room with a beautiful luxuous stairway with a red carpet on the side. A sign tells "GO TO THE TREASURE but pass by the trap" in direction of the beautiful stairs; and "(other options)" in small and in the shadow in direction of the rope. > Dungeon: "Impressive!"
Panel 4. Top down view on the adventurers shrugging in front of the fairy, they reached a dead end. A short path on the right has on the ground the word "Now", and a longer path "Later". Both lead to a giant pool of green acid where bones and skulls are floating. > Dungeon: "So, when do you want to jump to the trap?"

Cannot wait. I got to talk to the team behind this in 2023, who told me: "Believe it or not, this is 100% stop-motion, including the explosions and sawdust. We filmed the sawdust separately (tried millions of takes...) and layered the best version with the characters."

I love how insanely dedicated you all are to making this greying, drab world into something beautiful and full of whimsy and wonder that AI wishes it could.
Okay CTA. This is a good sign.
i have very rapidly become incapable of thinking about anything that isn’t this video
As the father of a middle schooler I have seen the rebellion against AI forming there — even using “that’s AI, bro,” not indicating something is literally AI, but that something is metaphorically so — it’s sus, it’s bullshit, it’s bad weird

My wardrobe is getting less and less adult.
i've been swapping out normal clothes to cutesy 90s kidsy looking clothes and the funniest thing about that is the sheer amount of compliments i get by strangers outside.

"look! those are so cool!"

Do you think D&D itself has helped popularise the rise of rules light game systems, like daggerheart or kids on bikes, or has lets play style media featuring ttrpgs been more of a boost to lesser known systems?
