I should've probably realized that running Linux Lite (basically Ubuntu with XFCE) with EVERYTHING installed through Snap on what essentially was a fully Nvidia machine (Athlon 64 3000+ with an nForce4 chipset and a 7300 GT) was the worst idea ever, but my dedication ended up being stronger.

I started to actively study programming in 2022 and despite having a complete junk of a PC I installed Linux on it and managed to complete multiple freeCodeCamp courses on it and actually got good at webdev.

It was absolute hell, the PC took ages to boot and barely got 1 Firefox tab up and running

Microsoft owns both Bing and LinkedIn, not much of a difference there. Your best bet is Startpage and DuckDuckGo, but even then, Google's main source of revenue isn't the search engine, it's AdSense, YouTube, Gmail, Android, etc.

Linux Lite. Used to use it for years before I switched to Arch. Everything is set up perfectly and everything works fine out of the box. Underrated and GOATed distro.
