The @nationaltrust.org.uk only rarely ask their members to take political action, but when they do, it’s seismic.
Please take the NT’s action, email your MP demanding the Government protect 30% of the UK for nature by 2030: campaigns.nationaltrust.org.uk/page/186395/...

Maven, the program Google was forced to pull out of and Palantir took over, was the system that identified the girls’ school as a target.

Spring, glorious spring 🌸
That UK government ever considers asserting its contractual rights against a major supplier is rare and welcome.
And here, this is especially welcome.
This will not be easy but it can be done, but it is good it is being seriously considered at all.

View over a lake. There is an island in the middle with a treeline in the distance. Sky is dramatic with grey clouds and a line of sunshine near the horizon.

Three cyanotype prints. One made with grasses, one with a fern and one with small flowers.
Little home project. Seemed a shame to waste all the extra UV we're having at the moment 😆

Sutton Hoo replica helmet
Sutton Hoo hoo grave goods
Glass roof at British Museum
Been to London for a day out. Have had a look at the stunning Sutton Hoo collection. The detail on these grave goods are astonishing. I can only imagine what everything looked like when it was new.

Word of the day is ‘arsle’ (19th century): to have a distinct sense of going backwards.
I love animal encounters. We have lots of foxes that come through the garden and I love seeing them. The cat doesn't feel the same way though!

There is a robin in the Oxford Botanic Gardens that always comes to say hello when I visit. They have a beautiful song and are very bold.

Oh yes, I can't believe they did that but I'm so glad they did! I'm actually rewatching the whole SNW through again and loving it even more 😊
View looking over Oxford with visibility extremely poor due to freezing fog.
It's been a little cold and foggy in parts of the UK of late. This is (usually) a wonderful view of the 'dreaming spires' of Oxford 😆.

Feathers McGraw (a penguin with a rubber glove for a hat, or a chicken depending on who you ask) stands outside the entrance of The Museum of English Rural Life.
we're thrilled to share that we've started the year with a new addition to our team! he's extremely smart, capable, charming, persuasive, and boasts a wealth of museum experience
My new favourite christmas tradition 😁
I finally gave in and bought a Paramount+ subscription. I'm almost through Strange New Worlds and am loving it! The Lower Decks crossover was wonderful, and despite my usual dislike of 'serious' characters breaking into song, I loved that episode too. Roll on S3 😊.
