The Libs and Nats deciding to give their preferences to One Nazion tells us exactly where we are in Australian politics. There is now a de facto National Front determined to strip every shred of decency and humanity from the political scene. We must unite to stop them! #auspol

The RBA’s policy deliberately creates unemployment. So why do we treat the jobless so badly? The way we deal with rising inflation is highly problematic.

Yup

Secure Jobs. Better Universities.

Ongoing work should mean ongoing jobs. Fixed-term contracts create more uncertainty, more stress and less control over our working lives. Staff deserve secure, stable jobs to build stronger and more sustainable universities: betterworkplaces.nteu.au/

Trump, IRS In Talks To Settle U.S. President's $10 Billion Lawsuit Trump's adult sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, and the Trump Organization are also plaintiffs.

Trump is reported close to a "deal" with himself under which US taxpayers would pay him $10 billion.

I served in multiple communist and authoritarian dictatorships, but I never witnessed corruption on this scale or this blatant.

Quentin de Tarantino is obviously one of Vance's principal theological authorities. Crucial for understanding Just War theory.

The distressing thing is that there are at least half a dozen likely perpetrators of this hybrid warfare.

I think one of the hardest realisations I’ve had is having to accept just how much some people enjoy seeing other people suffer.

I'm not an authority on this, but it does seem that Vance missed some of the key tenets of the religion he was embracing. Not to mention the history of the Reformation. Lay people lecturing priests on theology was not a notably Catholic position. Still isn't.

Lawyer Nick Hanna and the Palestine Action Group celebrating outside court today

Lawyer Nick Hanna and the Palestine Action Group celebrating outside court today

NSW's fascistic anti-protest laws, enacted after Bondi and to allow Isaac Herzog, a war criminal, to tour without opposition, have been defeated in court today. The Appeals court found the laws "impermissibly burden" implied constitutional rights. From the river to the sea.

I feel Marles has essentially left the building and wants to head to the US to toady up to their defence industry. His electorate needs to take a good hard look at him and get rid of him. In reality he probably should have nominated for the Liberal leadership!

This didn't happen by accident, the Albanese Government had the power to stop the extradition and chose not to. Australia should not be America's deputy sheriff, and we should not be acting as its jailer. Dan is paying the price for a Government that puts America and its needs ahead of Australia’s.

"Jonno Duniam responded to criticisms of the scale of monitoring all those people by saying a Coalition government would “triage efforts” based on where people came from."

So nothing at all racist in these proposals then.

You don't see off the Hanson-Rinehart-Murdoch axis and its Coalition clones by caving in to them, @albomp.bsky.social. You do it with bold policies, strong grassroots organisation, and a progressive vision for Australia's future. Learn from Hungary, for God's sake! #auspol

Trump’s Humiliation in Orbán Defeat Stunner Is Only Just Beginning For Viktor Orbán’s epic loss in Hungary to have real meaning in America, Democrats and liberals need to proclaim themselves part of the global anti-authoritarian movement.

The massive Orban defeat should prompt Dems to align themselves more firmly with anti-fascist and pro-democracy forces abroad. There's a powerful link to be drawn between the celebrations in Budapest and the confrontations with ICE in Minneapolis. 1/

My partner, who died a fortnight ago, was wonderfully cared for in her last days by many first-generation Australians, among others. Enough with this barely-disguised racism!

I've been in two hospitals lately and the excellent staff were overwhelmingly 1st gen Australians. The second hand policies of these pathetic, hate-monger politicians would destroy this country.

Hey Angus Taylor
Love of family
Caring for our community
Working hard
Sacrificing for our children
Giving back
Being a good neighbour
Are not “Australian values”
They are Universal Values that all cultures and people have
We don’t have to prove we are human to you and deserving of dignity
