Dating apps, like #Tinder, are like #MMO's: full of microtransactions. Want to see who "likes" you? $$$. Want to chat with someone you are interested in? $$$. Every dating app I've been on is like this. How in the hell are you supposed to meet someone or even talk to them on these things?

Is there anyone who is a type 2 diabetic on my friends list, or who knows what the hell these numbers mean? I just tested my blood after eating, and it came up a 138.

Is this normal? Too high? Too low? I can't seem to find any answers I can understand on the web.

What we do, how we build that future is dependent on who we are and who we want to be, as a society, a culture, and, yes, as a species. We are violent. Warlike. We are a warrior species. The question is, can we grow beyond our baser instincts to become a species who reaches for peace before a gun?

The thing about the future is it's not promised to us. There is no explicit promise of a stable future. A future, yes, as time (as we understand it) moves ever forward, but a stable future? Free from want, fear, and war? No. We have to work hard for it, as there are those who would act to prevent it
