Soooo much left to do but this is so much fun!
Oh he looks like Toothless!
Hey, thats two words
Rocket Drop: Update
#gamedev #godot
- I now have an art style
- Learned to 'chunk' the blocks to allow for up to 25,000 blocks without a performance hit
- Swap between available rockets after death
Next up, the shop and powerups!
Learning #Godot - my first indie "hobby" game; Rocket Drop
The first powerup is already working too; "Duplicate" - you will notice there is a slim chance for the "rocket" to duplicate itself when hitting a block

More to come!
Staying consistent is the hardest part for me.. I can build a product, get everything working and then just stop.
I am learning new ways to prevent this from happening and finding ways to hold myself accountable.
This gives a lot of motivation to get back on it though πͺ
Love that, thanks!

How has everyone been? β¨
Good morning everyone! ππΌ
You sit and work every day
You learn/improve every day
You do it over and over again
Eventually, things fall into place and successes pile up.
So, if you feel behind - relax.
You're not that different from anyone else.
You just haven't reached the good part yet.
Keep going.
I meant to ask earlier, how did you get the confetti to 'pop' on the screen? π
Thank you Marko! π¦
Hey Andrew! π
