Missed you too! π«π§‘
What a lovely, eloquent message! ππ§‘
Hi there, dear friend. π«
"Do you have your cute characters on t-shirts?"
I put a limited number of my designs on clothing, but I do have a few on shirts, including this new mouse drawing. It's current 25% off, so if you're in the market for a new shirt & enjoy my art, you may want to invite this piece into your closet. ππΌπ
A photo of an open book in my lap, with my hand holding the pages open.
This is your reminder to make the effort to spend time reading daily. Physical books, ebooks, your own, or from the library - form the habit of making reading a priority. You will not regret it, I promise.
Our society is dumbing down by the day, it seems - do not let them take away your smarts. π€π
Yes, I am tired of wearing a respirator mask every single I I leave the house.
No, I will not stop wearing one.
I am adult enough to be able to be tired, honest, and responsible all at the same time.
It is not that hard, really.
If I don't sell enough of these by mid April. They won't be made. And I'll have to refund existing orders.

"During the pandemic..." π
Yes, a massive undercount. And it continues to be the case.
A brush pen and watercolor piece featuring a pair of pink flamingos. There are pink watercolor splashes all over the paper. Art by Angela Marie Morton.

Flamingos! They are just so delightful. I've never had the privilege of seeing them in the wild, but I get my flamingo fix by painting them. π¦©π

Such bliss! Thank you so much for sharing the beauty around you. π«ππ
Aeschylus! π
A snoozy orange tabby cat is curled up on a child-sized corduroy beanbag chair next to one arm of a couch; behind him are the P's in the Mystery and Thriller section, and in front of him is some kind of transformer-type toy. Needs more sunbeams please!
A shelf on a half-sized metal library cart, full of poetry by Emily Dickinson, Tracy K. Smith, Clayton Eshleman, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Gleb Shulpyakov, Alberto Rios, Paisley Rekdal, and more. Regular viewers will notice that there is once again a Black Sparrow Press publication in the mix. This collector had a lot of Black Sparrow.
Another half-shelf of poetry, this time including Claudia Rankine, Kenneth Rexroth, Leslie Simon, Lyn Lifshin, Sharon Olds, Philip Levine, Patricia Ariza, Mak, and others. (If you're into Lyn Lifshin, just hang on, there's a stack of hers coming up.)
And one more half-shelf of poetry. We've got Pablo Neruda (at least I think he's still here), Czeslaw Milosz, Carol Muske, Paul Muldoon, a couple of Naomi Shihab Nye's books for younger readers, William Matthews, Jack Marshall, and more Sharon Olds, among others.
NEW ARRIVALS! Once again all POETRY!
Aeschylus is worn out from greeting almost every single visitor today. (By greeting, we mean head-butting humans' shins and allowing chin scratches.)

Wishing you safe travels and a smooth stay.
I know! Miss you bunches. I've been in a rather dark place and have trouble extricating myself. π«π§‘
A pen and watercolor drawing of a baby elephant in blue and white stripes, holding a bunch of dandelions and looking at an orange butterfly. The background is a soft watercolor wash of blue fading into green. Art by Angela Marie Morton.
I thought we could all use a dose of cuteness right about now, so here is Fenton.
This gentle little elephant is now in my shop and is looking for his forever home. β€οΈ

What a sweetheart! π₯°
A pen, watercolor pencil, and pitt pastel drawing of a very posh fox in a top hat, coat, pants, and shoes. He is also wearing a monocle and holding a cane. Art by Angela Marie Morton.
Meet Haverscham J. Foxx, esq. A Very Posh Fox, indeed.
(Name credit goes to my husband, who is the master at coming up with perfectly pompous names.)

So glad to know she is OK. π§‘Ninaπ
Oh no! Is she OK now? I had that happen to a geriatric kitty with hypertension. Very scary. Lots and lots of love to darling Nina.
These are so lovely! Truly exquisite! ππ₯°
π
I'm very sorry for your loss. π
Good morning! π
