I think if you have a medical appt you should be able to just show it and go/there should be options for islanders to not pay when needed.
I agree- I don’t mind paying the toll. I would pay a little more if they put some protections in place for people who go to the bridge with the desire to jump.

If you saw someone being cornered on public transit, would you know how to help? If you witnessed someone being harassed at a coffee shop, you would know to safely de-escalate?

They’re also very fair on proving.
We have needed to go to the AVC - incredible care! But it racks up very quick.
I would suggest calling Miltonvale Vet Clinic - they are not an emergency vet, but they have taken my dog in an emergency (at that time he wasn’t a regular patient of theirs). They are incredible and I will *never* go anywhere else after the care we got there.
I’ve been locked out of Instagram and TikTok for a week and tbh I’d recommend bc the only dumpster fires I’m aware of these days are my own. 😂🙃
Annie has learned to say “hi” and spent her morning saying “hi” to everyone at a coffee shop. It was very cute.
😂
My kitchen after supper time versus after my 10 minute tidy after bedtime.
I always like to see realistic houses. So here’s mine ♥️
Today I listened to:
PEAK DANGER (BBC):
For someone who has never and will never climb a mountain, DAMN I love stories about people summiting.
This one is about a tragedy on K2, and it was very well done. I finished the series today and would 9/10 recommend. I just can’t 10/10 when people die. 🤷♀️
I do appreciate that the leaders have been reminding Canadians that the American people are people and most don’t want this - humanity is for everyone, regardless of borders. ♥️ such a good thread, thanks for sharing!
My cat is truly gorgeous, even in a dollar store bag. This bag has stayed on the table bc she loves to lounge in it. She is very funny and very beautiful and she’s actually not funny at all but very serious but that kind of makes her funny.
Oooh!! Adding to my list!
My mom just sent me a hand written poem all about how I don’t respond to her texts fast enough.
And that is everything you need to know about me.
MEL ROBINS:
2/10. If I’m listening to a MR podcast, I’m in the middle of a spiral and am grasping at straws to keep me afloat.
OPERATOR (Wondery)
10/10 - this one is all about the sex phone line industry when it first came out and DAMN it was very fascinating. One episode was a little bit too graphic for me, but they give very good trigger warnings.
I was hooked on a topic I knew nothing about.
LEGACY (JFK/Wondery)
2/10 - I had a really hard time making by myself care about his story. I didn’t finish the last two episodes.
LEGACY (Marie Antionette/Wondery):
10/10 I could have listened to ten more hours purely on MA. What a fascinating life she lived and set up to fail from the beginning. I left feeling empathy for her, and knowing she never said “let them eat cake”.
SCAM FACTORY (Wondery):
10/10 must listen!
I had no idea that scam calls are sometimes coming from people being held against their will. This is a first-hand account of people inside these scam compounds.
It gave me some extra empathy for the people on the other line of “hang up calls”.
I’m in my podcast era.
So this thread is officially dedicated to podcasts I’ve listened to with a rating on whether you should listen.
I come with no expertise, other than a short attention span and 24 free hours a day to listen.
