My favourite is Evil Dead Rise, I think it fits perfectly on the Evil Dead spectrum between mean spirited and silly, with Army of Darkness one end and Evil Dead the other. Also it's the only entry brave enough to ask "What if you wanted to fuck the deadite?"

Evil Dead is one of the most consistent horror franchises of all time, there isn't a bad film. My least favourite is many people's favourite (Army of Darkness) and I can totally get why it would be someone's favourite. I think it's possible to make a legitimate case for any being your favourite.

There basically has to be a jarring clash between the depiction of what is one of the most incredible pop musicians of all time and the fact he led a life of experiencing abuse and then became a hideous abuser himself. Any other story isn't worth telling and will always ring false.

You can't make a Michael Jackson biopic and it be good if it doesn't have the tone of essentially a horror drama.
