Our illegal union @uam-umd.bsky.social is a lot less illegal today. 12,000 contingent faculty in MD just won the right to collectively bargain. Life-changing win for teachers and students. Only happened bc thousands of people worked together to beat our bosses in the statehouse.
Street capacity is a public resource to be allocated in the public interest.
Help the faculty union at the Community College of Baltimore County get a fair contract by signing this petition. They unionized 18 months ago and still don’t have a contract. ✊

There has been so much of that activity in the park over the past 20 years I’m unsure if they are doing any real damage anymore but it is kind of the principle of the thing for me.
Oh, I understood that! Just sharing for public information. I think it is possible to report to 311 as a general park issue and a ranger could respond. Unfortunately, not all BCRP staff are aware of the restriction and I don‘t think it qualifies for a police non-emergency report.
Metal detector use in Pattersin Park is illegal FWIW. It is permitted for some city parks but not Patterson since it is a known archaeological site.
